I think it depends on where you are. It's not fair for me to speak in general, but my own personal thinking is that girls who are very intelligent are intimidating and I automatically think they want to destroy my confidence...most women do, some kind of test. (?) Stupid girls just want to have fun and enjoy the moment and laugh, this makes it a lot easier on us to let loose and have a good time. We don't have to worry about what we read in the Economist, when we go out with stupid girls. Smart girls, on the other hand, require a lot more discussion to get the same fun and comfort factor out of.
Guys just want to have fun too and enjoy ourselves without having to worry if everything is right or we are saying the right thing or whatever. We just want to have a good time and feel like we are attractive, just like girls. Oh and we want to have sex too, JUST LIKE GIRLS!

Sorry i'm not a guy but i wanted to answer this.
Girls are like apples on trees. The best ones are at the top of the girls
tree. The boys don't want to reach for the good ones because they are
afraid of falling and getting hurt. Instead, they just get the rotten
apples from the ground that aren't as good, but easy.So the apples at the
top think something is wrong with them, when in reality, they're amazing.
They just have to wait for the right boy to come along, the one who's brave
enough to climb all the way to the top of the tree.

Perhaps the pretty ones are too intimidating for them to talk to. The ones who aren't as attractive are more "safe" because if they aren't as pretty they may not get as much attention from men...and take all they can get. They may not feel the threat of rejection. With pretty girls, however, they can be more selective about who they flirt with. Also, sometimes it isn't about looks. A lot of prettier girls think that since they are pretty....that's all they have to do..so often times they lack a lot of personality. Less attractive girls usually have more of a personality because they have to make up for their looks.
(Im not trying to put anyone down...just my perspective!)

It's easier to flirt with ugly women, even if you aren't interested in them. From a guy's point of view, a beautiful woman is one of the most intimidating things he will ever face. It is quite a challenge because there's the possibility of rejection or even embarassment. Of course, most of thatt is mental.
Personality qualities depends on the guy. But most want intelligent (not necessarily smart), funny, and nice, along with other things.
Physically, it also depends on the guy. Usually a 5'6'' to 5'9'' women with curves, not skinny or fat.

well in a man's youth they are horny all the time so they go for the easy ones........and the ugly ones with drama usually are the easiest to hook up with
they look for the intelligent one when they mature and want something serious.
I like a girl that likes to laugh as much as I do, and yeah I like all the normal physical stuff (you know what im talking about), but im a sucker for a pretty pair of eyes also

I'm a guy so i know, most guys as cocky as they are have self esteem issues. They don't talk to girls that they feel like could reject them. I am one of these guys. Only after i started not caring about rejection is when I was able to connect with attractive women. As far as what men want, men want it all, but for me, it was all about a girl that would listen and actually care about what I was saying. I like the attention.

If you're talking about young teens - they are just looking to get laid most of the time. The ugly ones don't threaten their masculinity. They are less likely to turn them down. When the boys hormones settle down a bit, they will be looking for more than a piece of tail.

Some girls who are good looking are very stuck up and when you try to talk to them they can be nasty bits of work. I know that not all good looking girls are like this but this causes a lot of men to ignore really good looking girls and instead talk to average looking ones
