That they just cannot let those of us who want to pray do so, Are they really so insecure as to have to stifle free speech.?Posting a request here is not like praying in school or anything, do not want to answer then you do not have to so why would they be so threaten?

I think what I want to know is why are they policing it? Lots of the questions are nothing more then "chatting". Look at all the down right silly questions asked, especially on the politics section. Some one has to be intentionally going in an reporting these questions and the question is why? Why are they doing so? In fact if the person who reported it reds this why? How did it harm you? How does it harm any one? And please unless you also never speed or jaywalk do not give me community guidelines as an excuse. No one is so self rightous that they feel the need to police the world, stuff like this is done for more then a community guideline reason

I really am not taking it personally. What is funny is I asked this on Saturday night nearly 30 people answered the question and I even picked a "best answer" a very touching response from one of our Muslim Brothers (I think the name was Sunshine but I do not recall) So some one went into a question that was "dead" and had it removed? I do not take it personal, my needs in the question were answered, I t just seems strange

Yes, people really are that threatened by religion. It really is sad how closed minded people are in todays day and age. People are threatened by things they don't understand. I see it not only those threatened, but by those who have religion consume their life - I get alot of slack for dating outside my race by people who tell me I am "going against God."

And to those of you who answered that didn't even see the original question ~ how do you know it was a violation if you didn't see it? If Yahoo removed all the "chatter" for violating the TOS this place would be dead!

First of all, this is not a prayer group. But a place to ask questions about people's religions and belief systems.

When you use someone else's Internet services, you agree to their standards, not yours. If you want a website that allowed prayer requests, create one yourself. That is your right. Make it your responsibility.

As far as you thinking that Yahoo is playing favorites, or pick and chooses what questions or requests to remove, they only remove it if someone was to complain. There are a lot questions here after all!

Last week, there were several questions posted by a person with a screen name "KKK_Something". The tamest question was something like; "Why are Blacks as ignorant and dirty as pigs"? I reported his violation to Yahoo and have not seen any more postings from this individual.

This is not a free speech forum, but rather a place where people can ask reasonable, respectful questions about one's religion or beliefs. Most of the time this is followed. Sometimes it is not. When that happens, I do not have a problem reporting abuses of this format and violations of TOS.

Hope that answers your question.

Technically, it's a violation of policy. I suspect it gets reported by "militant atheists." I'm an agnostic, but I wouldn't report prayer requests.

Generally, I only report abuse if it involves threats of violence or if somebody gives an insulting Answer that has absolutely nothing to do with the Question (e.g. when somebody answered a Shakespeare question with "I smell hippie.").

If the prayer requests are deleted by Yahoo, without reports from users, maybe Yahoo is afraid of being deluged with a huge volume of prayer requests. You religious types should be pleased by that - there are so many of you that you could swamp Yahoo.

I've seen lot's of prayer requests that don't get removed, someone must have pushed the report button... try posting it again later...

I may be an atheist, but we all have a right to post what we want within the guidlines. Your freedom of speech is the same as mine, and I'll defend it that way.

Did you look at the guidelines for posting before you posted the request?

I am sure that you will fnd many sites that encourage prayer requests where you can ask your question. People there would be interested and you'd get honest answers rather than some of the sarcastic ones you would get from some of the people here.

Good luck.

I has a question removed that I posted later without incident. I have had several responses removed for reasons which still elude me.

Don't take it personally and don't take it as a slam on prayer. No one is infringing on your civil rights. Yahoo owns the site, they don't charge money for access to it, and they can do whatever they want to do. What they want to do is have the people who use it police the content. They just respond to it, and they respond to it they way they want.

All these questions have a 3 day posting period then automatically removed or shifted to resolved question department, in which we view..if you ask a question, however, before it expires yahoo sends you an e mail asking you if you want to exttend your question..you go from there..if you arent receiving this mail, either you have changed e mail addresses, or it went to your junk or spam folder..this is why I set my junk folders to auto delete junk mail..I want to look first and delete manually...I seriously believe it was overlooked by you..of course read the agrrement forms to the site you accepted when you joined.....it may state there personal prayers not allowed..I doubt this but it is something mentioned above

It's not politically correct to be a Christian and talk about that. It's fine to be of any other religion from Islam to Buddhist (sp?) to pagan to wiccan, and go on and on and on about it.

But supporting Jesus? Not right. Don't do it. But that's not new, not really. Lots of Godly followers have been killed in the name of Jesus.

Read Jesus Freaks. It's amazing how folks have gone the extra mile to bring people Home and suffered for it.

Hi,
We are in the end times, and if all of this nonsense that is going on was not clearly written in the prophecies, I would really be worried - instead, however, I realize why the world
seems to have gone mad. As written, its as if children rule.
Yes, people are not only threatend by religion, but they are fighting it tooth and nail. Why? Because if you were a bank robber, and just about to break into the safe, and suddenly the spotlight of the FBI shone its light onto you, I bet you wouldn't feel too secure, right? Same thing here. People do not want the light of truth to shine on their dirty, filthy deeds.
Their need to get rid of that light is paramount, and thats what you are seeing happening in the world today. And, we are just getting started, friend. Its gonna get way hot in the old
kitchen, and as it heats up, you will see who is of truth the
soldiers of Christ, and who are only those who like to "play church". Remember that the Word states emphatically that
the great apostasy will happen just before the end. That means a falling away of ones professed beliefs; you see this happening at rapid speed when you read of Church Pastors who have decided that its really "okay with God" if a Pastor
is a homosexual. As far as free speech goes, we are losing both our feedom of speech and our freedom of religion. Do you realize that a law is about to be passed Federally that states that a person CANNOT teach or preach the Books of Romans or Corinthians? You will have to "pretend" that these Books are not included in the Bible. This is one of the methods of the gay agenda to silence Christians, so they can finally have what they want: carte blanche to do anything they
want. Unfortunately, this bill called HR1592 and S-1105, also
will make it a "hate crime" if parents do not teach their children how fine and dandy it would be if only they would consider the gay deathstyle. Never mind that one of the two main risk factors for the Aids virus is homosexual practices.
I guess everyone has forgotten about aids, huh?
Parents can, if that bill passes, have their children taken from them for child abuse, as they will be teaching their children "hate" if they bring them up with Christian values and morals. Priests and Pastors will go to jail for giving sermons to their own congregations. As if thats not bad enough, coming this fall, many of the Public School systems will be teaching gay sex to FIRST GRADE STUDENTS. When they were yelling that they wanted prayer taken out of the schools, their reason was that not everybody believes in God, so that should not be allowed in the Public School. Okay. But does everyone believe in teaching gay sex to their children? No, of course not, but yet THATS OKAY IN THE PUBLIC SCHOOL.

Hang in there buddy, and you keep praying and so will I.
I realize that things look bad, and those who are ungodly will
continue on their mission to destroy God and His Children.
They will continue to mock and ridicule. They will continue to pass laws that will persecute Christians. It is very important that these souls show their true colors; this world is ripe for the Harvest of God, and they will be easily weeded out and destroyed - so give them all the rope they need to hang themselves. They are blind, and cannot see that God is actually in control. He misses nothing. When the gays
strutted disrespectfully down the Streets of the Holy City of Jerusalem, I understood full well how late in the day it actually is. God is allowing them to transgress to the fullest of their
desire - He says that what they do is just as stupid as if a farmer plowed in the ocean, or a person rode his horse
as fast as possible down a cliff of rocks.
As they show themselves for what they really are, they are
unknowing that they are hanging a noose about their necks.

Its all good - no matter how bad it seems to get, remember
that God is in control. God bless you.

At least perverted questions are questions. Prayer requests are not.
