For the ladies that don't attend church..are there any occasions where you would dress in a more conservative style than you normally would?

I asked this question, in a different way, once before and got SCORCHED by women for asking. I understand it's up to me to control myself. I'm just asking for your perspective on this.

I appreciate all these answers. Y'all are being very nice. Much better than the reception I got a while back! I was raised to always wear a coat and tie to church, and 99% of the time I still do. Sometimes, like yesterday, I just wear a shirt and tie becuase here in Georgia it's just too hot fo a coat right now. I don't really worry about people dressing casually for church. Casual is one thing. Sloppy is another.

I don't ever dress not conservatively. There are guys everywhere and I am just as responsible in one place than another for how I present myself. I believe that the Bible tells us that we carry some responsibility for how we affect others, if we are causing them too much temptation.

Sorry that you got scorched before, a lot of women are in denial that they are somewhat responsible for men stumbling. I think they actually do know it, and anyone bringing it up nags at their conscience. The feminazis have pushed hard to make women think they are better than men and should be allowed to do whatever they want. It is sick and wrong. I am not in agreement with the agenda of the feminist movement.

Overall I consider myself to be a classy, self-respecting woman and my dress always reflects that. Most anything I wear out I'd wear to church.

With that said, I do dress differently for church lately. Not "more conservatively" necessarily, but usually a bit more dressed up than if I was going to hang out with friends. I do as a sign of respect for the church itself and for the people who attend the church who may have different standards than I do.

I pretty much dress the same as I do for work. Sometimes put a little bit more effort in to it. But, I also have 2 children to get ready for church. I think I always dress decent. . .if I wouldn't where it in the church I probably should not have it on, lol.

As a non-believer I only go to churches for weddings and funerals and yes I dress up for weddings and dress conservatively for funerals.

My normal dress is work boots, dickies, t shirts and a lab coat as those are my work clothes so pretty much anything I wear else wise is a step up.

Women at my church dress all sorts of different ways. But most kind of 'dress up', and that tends to mean a Little more formally and conservatively. They tend to not wear revealing clothes or stuff you would wear to a night club.

A bit, but not much. I think it's always appropriate to be modestly dressed. A girl gets enough negative attention wearing a long skirt and a t-shirt. I'm afraid to wear shorts and a tank top (not that I ever would).

On the occasions that I've gone to a church, I always dressed up a bit, ... tasteful office attire actually, and I was surprised at the people who showed up in jeans, sweatshirts and runners!

I tend to dress nicer for church. I'd never wear a dress or a skirt except for easter and christmas, but I wear a nice pair of slacks and a dressy blouse.

I don't attend church, but I dress conservatively for work and for occasions that call for it. I don't see any point to showing cleavage at a funeral, for example. I don't think anyone would find comfort in my boobage.

Obviously I'm not a female, but it would strike me as funny that people should care how a person is dress if they are attending church.

I do not attend church or am even religious, but our society is too caught up in looks. If your god does exist, does he really care how you dress if you attend church?

And really, isn't it a bit hypocritical to dress in a suit or dress when the rest of the week you are in jeans/shorts and a tshirt? If god is everywhere, he sees you when you aren't in church, so what you wear to church shouldn't matter too much.

Obviously there is a line to what one should wear to a church. Wearing a devil costume would be funny, but if bad taste. And what about that woman wearing the tight jeans and a shirt that is showing some cleavage? If that is how she usually dresses, its the guys' problem to pay attention during mass.

All in all, if your god does exist, I very much doubt he cares what you wear so long as you believe in him.
