I have sworn off ultimatums, ever since my girl of 1 year told me if I didn't move in with her when I graduated college she would leave, and I did and it sucked...now I got a kid, and Im not really happy with the situation Im in because I couldn't just move out and still pay the rent with our names on the lease....all cuz I jumped into something on an ultimatum...
So for now on...I say **** you to anyone who gives me an ultimatum...especially a girlfriend

I'm not a man - but from experience, ultimatums usually don't work out the way you planned. In fact, if it's deteriorated down to that level, you're often better off ending the relationship.
Who wants to be bullied into something, as in "do this - or else!?"
Who wants to be a bully - "I've tried everything else - now it's down to the wire."
What happens if he or she opts for the "or else" choice? Are you really willing to do the "or else?" or were you just bluffing?
So, if you're ready to threaten the "or else," should you not be willing to just go that route and be done with it?

Depends on how it's done. You have a right to your feelings. Express them as feelings, not an attempt to control another.

its threatening, and may cause an explosive, or very brash answer/ decision... not the best of ideas, try and talk him to a choice, don't make them apparent and say this or that chose now... that always ends up bad
