I would never use black, it just seems like so many people are using it recently to be "different" that it has become common.

I would definantly say peach. I was in a wedding where I was the flower girl (quite a few years ago) and my mother was the maid of honor and wore peach as well. If you are having a bridal party (maid of honor, bridesmaids and it is tradition that they pay for their own dress ) try to pick a color that you like and that they might wear again someday. Also, pick a color that will not over power your dress or seem to overwhelming in other decorations. I am getting married in august and going with a lavendar. It is very light which will do good in the sun and doesnt seem very over powering.

My sister had a fall wedding, we wore fuscia, when she told us the color scheme we all thought she was joking and we were like "Well I guess we'll be entering the hideous dress hall of fame" BUT it was actually really gorgeous. The fuscia looked awesome with the black tuxes the guys wore and the flowers she had us carry worked really well with the color because it contained all different colors that kind of muted the harshness of the color. Also, we were all different hair colors and skin tones and the color looked awesome on all of us. Her BIL is a famous interior decorator so he pretty much designed the color scheme with the dresses and the flowers, so thats porbably why it worked so well, but I wrote this just to tell you that even though you may think of a color and go "puke" dont rule it out, with the right flower choices and dress designs any color can be awesome.

That depends on the skin tones of the bridesmaids. I picked a purple that I knew would be flattering to all of my bridesmaids' complexions and builds. Some shades of yellow tend to make some people look washed out. Some shades of pink can look really bad on people with red hair. I would avoid anything too close to the skin tones of your bridesmaids in general.

I'm getting married in March and my 2 colors are pink and a light green color. I would not do black just because that is a funeral color and you don't want your colors to be white just because you are the only woman supposed to wear white on that day. Any other colors are your choice, even though youre not getting married. I chose my 2 favorite colors which are pink and green.

Honestly... you can probably get away with a lot of colors nowadays as long as you tone your wedding completely with flowers and decorations to offset your bridesmaids dresses.

Its the fall, so you can still get away with lighter colored dresses (with darker flower arrangements), and darker colored dresses... you can even get away with black and browns contrary to what some people on here say. The tone for your wedding is NOT just dresses, but the type of dresses, the material and fabric, as well as the overall theme of your wedding.

I would stay away from neons and royals and bright flashy colors.... stick to calmer shades, so they dont take the attention from you!

congrats!

While I love it, the color combo I would not use right now is Tiffany's Box Blue and Brown. It's really beautiful but it's so trendy right now that I changed my colors. I know I'll probably get some thumbs down from brides using these colors, but I've been to and seen so many weddings using those colors lately.

I also am not one who is partial to pastely easter egg colors. But that's a personal thing. They can look very beautiful but I prefer richer more saturated colors.

I would only use white or an off-white color. Those would be the only colors for my wedding dress. I wouldn't use any really bright colors though.

navy blue. it's very....very....1994. haha. actually, despite the fact that i'm an artist, for a wedding, i'm not a huge fan of any color. if/when i ever get married, i want the bridesmaids in black tea-length dresses. white flowers. looks so classy

I would never wear white, cream or ivory, too common and expected, I prefer something a bit more alternative and less traditional.

I'd also never wear orange, or peach, because those colours look vile on me, and I'm not a fan of that sort of dung colour, khaki

Black. No neutrals. Weddings should have happy colours. For the fall, burgundy, burnt orange, hunter green, medium blue....
