The Bible proves itself once again to be true. Ungodlyness will increase. What would have happened if His Apostles had taken this approach when told not to do anything in the Name of Jesus? Acts chapter 5. Note: Verse 29. His followers were tortured and killed to tell others about Him, Hebrews 11. Yet there are those today who will not mention His name for the sake of a few dollars.
I am not at all carefull about telling all of you who are more concerned about offending man than you are your creator. On that last day when you stand before Him He will say to you, "Depart from me,I never knew you". Repent of this you unprofitable servants.

This is a test...God allows Satan to test read Job. God brags about you to Satan and he says he only does it because you bless him or her. Take this away and see. So you get that dream job. all things work out for the good of those that love the lord....fear has torment. What now,you can not bring up Jesus....I have learned things happen to us but it is not by accident. Of course we do not readily know why but in time we see and learn. Jesus said if you love these more than me than you are not worthy of me. It is God that opens doors and it is God that closes door...we may think it is unfair...but such as life it is not always fair, but when it is over it is just...I mean the situation! We are tempted and tried on every hand but not cast down....Satan wants to sift us like wheat...but Jesus makes intercession and prays to God for us to overcome. He knows us and he knows the intent of our heart. If we do not say a thing, others know who we are by are actions and speech. Remember when Peter was standing near the fire and denied Jesus. He said I do not know the man. Yet the woman said Yes you do you sound just like them. Mark 14:70.

There is an agreement that most companies have with their employees. That I will pay you X amount of dollars to do something.

If you were to preach during the time you are suppose to be working, you have broken our agreement. At that point, I would have several alternatives, including firing you.

Off the subject a bit. I am an atheist and I have paid a number of Christians to do some work for me on the side. I'm an easy boss =)

I don't mind if they wear a cross around their neck, or read a bible during their time off. I figure if those things make them a better worker, then whom am I to argue their motivation?

But they WORK during for the time I pay them. Not preach or hold religious services.

If a job was offered to me with specific instructions not to talk about Jesus I would have to decline.

If I felt that a co worker needed and wanted witnessing to I would do it. Plus I love working beside another Christian. It's a special bonding.

Time to look for another job, I will not be ashamed to talk about Jesus nor will I work when I cannot speak of his Name. I believe that He would provide me with an even better job.

Tell them No Thank You. Then ask them as question, If you died right now would you be in Heaven. If they say no, I can tell them about Jesus. If they say they want no part of what I am talking about, then their blood will be off of my hands and I will move on to the next in line.

If you can't accept the job, then you need to think about being a missionary.

If you feel you need to build God's kingdom as your full-time occupation, and you will never be satisfied spending 40 hours a week as a stockbroker (or whatever) then you really need to look into missionary work. If you choose anything else, you'll always be a little bit dissatisfied, won't you?

I don't see anything wrong with taking the job, but you have to decide.
Do what you love.

I wouldn't take the job. It wouldn't be worth it to me to compromise my beliefs for something like a job. The minute a job told me that I couldn't talk about Jesus is the minute that I would leave that job. I also wouldn't work a job that requires me to be there on Sunday or Wednesday evenings. Those are nights that I am at church.

Again, I would not take the job. You would be telling God that He is not that important to you, and you would be telling Him that you don't believe He can provide for you a job that would not require you to compromise.

If it was a matter of choosing between living my faith and 'getting a job i want'... i would say no to the job and find something else, so that I could live as Christ intends me to live... for Him, each day

Maybe my dreams need to be changed a bit.
On one hand it would be great to work in an environment where no one could say the Lord's name(in vain) that would be great........that sound makes me cringe........
However, I think you mean speaking of Jesus and bringing law and gospel to the workplace.
Im not called to do that.

You do not have to confess JESUS verbally everywhere.. live your life like JESUS and confess HIM thru your work and work ethics. people will knwo you are different. It happens to all of us. Let your light shine before men that they make see your good works and glorify your FATHER IN HEAVEN. see if you can find the story about a medic in ww2. it is called the unlikliest hero, a story about Desmond Doss. he was the only noncombatant to receive the CONGESSIONAL MEDAL OF HONOR IN THE WWII campaign.
