Christianity has no god. They just claim to serve the one of Judaism, but since they don't honor his laws or commandments, and changed the criteria for what the messiah was supposed to be and do on earth, it's clear that they don't. Heck, they even changed what god was supposed to be. Their version of god is considered blasphemous by Judaic standards.

Polytheism is very obviously a man-made belief system, I mean it is very simple, this god does this, and this god does this etc. It was meant so people could understand it, and has very few paradoxical concepts. Polytheism was made simply for people to understand to explain the natural world.
Monotheism went totally against the grain of ancient culture and would have (if it was made up) required some "freethinking" that even modern "freethinkers" would have to admire.

If you had a relationship with God then you Probably wouldn't wonder that but the best way is to find out for your self. Ask God to get to know him. Ask him to reveal himself to you. Don't worry he is the only one and powerful God there is so he is the one who will answer you.
Acording to the Bible Gods nature is omni-present and time is as this. one day could be a thousand years and a thousand years as one day. He is a master of time and space. Why is he. Well I have been into physics. I read a book called Hyper-Cube and it was a scientists hypothesis of what an extra-dimensional being might be like. God fit that description prety well but even went beyond it. One think people over look is a master of matter. Jesus influenced by God turned water into wine. And then there is the prophetic that is unmatched by any other imations. Daniel was an interpreter of dreams and interpreted the Nebuchadnezars dream of his future. Nebuchadnezar was about to kill all the wise men of his time because no one could answer his dream untill Daniel asked God for understanding and God told him what it meant. It concerned the future kingdoms to come to this earth. So far it has been very accurate and the only part left to be fulfilled is the one world government and ten nations to come. Tha will be the extent of the kingdom of Man kind but as the clay and iron symbolize there is a lot of brittle stuff that iron has to hold together. Here is the passage in the book of daniel if you want to read it.
Daniel 2:28 But there is a God in heaven that revealeth secrets, and maketh known to the king Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days. Thy dream, and the visions of thy head upon thy bed, are these;
Dan 2:29As for thee, O king, thy thoughts came [into thy mind] upon thy bed, what should come to pass hereafter: and he that revealeth secrets maketh known to thee what shall come to pass.
Dan 2:30But as for me, this secret is not revealed to me for [any] wisdom that I have more than any living, but for [their] sakes that shall make known the interpretation to the king, and that thou mightest know the thoughts of thy heart.
Dan 2:31Thou, O king, sawest, and behold a great image. This great image, whose brightness [was] excellent, stood before thee; and the form thereof [was] terrible.
Dan 2:32This image's head [was] of fine gold, his breast and his arms of silver, his belly and his thighs of brass,
Dan 2:33His legs of iron, his feet part of iron and part of clay.
Dan 2:34Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet [that were] of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces.
Dan 2:35Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshingfloors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.
Dan 2:36This [is] the dream; and we will tell the interpretation thereof before the king.
There is a deep understanding of this prophecy but some interpretation is continued after this scrpture. To continue to read it look it up on www.blueletterbible.org . The single gold kingdom was babylon, the second kingdome of silver was the persians as they were 2 kingdomes united as symbolized by the 2 arms, the waste of bronze and in the end divided by the beginning of the legs is king alexanders kingdom. It was one but in the end he died annd his kingdom was split between his four generals. This is also symbolized by the goat in the Bible that had one horn and the horn breaks (alexanders death) and 4 horns spring up. Then the Roman kingdome comes and it actualy had more than one kingdome that was separate because it was so large but eventualy it becomes fragmented and mixed with other nations. Now its influence is wide and thinly spread. Some think it could be roman catholic church but I think it may be that or charistics of the strength of that kingdome spread among the chaos of all the kingdomes we have now. Eventualy the power of these kingdoms will be consolidated into ten nations or ten rullers as it is speculated when the one world government comes. One world government isn't a bad idea its just depends on who is in charge. Eventualy it becomes realy bad. Eventualy Jesus returns and establishes his kingdom, which is the stone that smashes the toes, and his kingdom replaces all others.

"Many 'gods' ", huh? Is this like a blue-light special at the Big K? Make more sense to pray to many gods? Why on earth would I want to do that when I can pray to the One true God and King, Jesus Christ?
