if they weren't here, then what would the fish and bats and birds and anteaters eat???

bugs are actually a good source of protein, haha!

bees pollinate flowers; where would we get our fruits and honey from? so do butterflies; they're really pretty, too. worms airate (sp?) the soil and help fertilize it.

bugs were some of the earliest organisms; they're so smart!

Just because you don't understand the role insects play in the grand scheme doesn't mean that you should hate or fear them. God created a world ripe with niches, and then filled those niches with glorious creatures, big and small, massive and microscopic.

There are many species of ants and mosquitoes. They are also species that consume the ants -- horned lizards, for instance. Mosquitoes may be gulped up by swallows, their larvae by toads and frogs.

The natural world is full of mystery. Do a little digging and I think once you begin to understand the role insects play in nature, you'll appreciate them more and hate them less.

Good luck.

Mosquitoes and ants contribute to this world alot and ants probably do more good for the earth than humans ever will... ants eat leftover food that falls,They help rotting of food process faster, just that female mesquitoes suck blood...but they do the same for our world along with other many bugs around the world...

Because there is a problem in protoplasm could cause unwanted mutations . Look at it GOD put all kinds of animals to eat all dead things . The mosquito has a life cycle clash between Man and insect. The mother mosquito female needs blood to lay its eggs . After she gets blood she needs still water to lay her eggs and in your house what does she find. She finds the still water in the commode to lay her eggs. We do the rest to flush them down into the sewer system where they hatch. This is where all the bad disease come from . A healthy mosquito has no disease.

that is because you are not looking very close
or thinking
ask your self this ---what eats mosquitos and their larvae (fish ,birds ,frogs ,toads, dragonflies, small lizards ,hunting fish, spiders etc)
and then what eats those things and then what eats the ones that ate them .
take away the mosquitos and all that follows is in peril

they once sprayed for mosquitos on the banks of the Danube ,and all of the life in the woods disapeared

all existing life is a collection of foodchains all interrelated .mess with a link and all that follows is affected
right now many species in the jungles are getting sick because of temperature changes and vital links in foodchains are disapearing we are presently witness to the first mass exstinction of flora and fauna since the days of the dinosaurs

we are on the top of the list and will end up affected by all changes

They serve some purpose, perhaps feeding the birds. I dont think God created bad stuff, but what we have in these insect pests are things that were supposed to be good but were made bad by the Fall. (Adam and Eve schnarfing that apple, whether it was a literal or a symbolic one.)

I have asked that question myself a couple of times to. But I think that it is to keep us from being suseptible to certain sickness and bacteria. Pigs can be used as prime example. Pigs eat almost everything. There could be something on the floor with a terrible disease pig eats it, gets sick you don't. Now if you eat the pig it is your problem. God also prohibits us from eating such things in Leviticus 11 also for this reason.

No one really knows why God put creatures on this earth but we can love them and just except that they are here. I don't like creatures in the ocean but God put them here because he knows that the world can't be perfect and by putting obstacles in our way just shows that we have to make a choice and except what is on the earth.
