The pain would start in the very, lower right hand side. Just at the bottom of your pelvic, hip bone.
If you push in and then realease and IT HURTS WHEN REALEASED it is the most conclusive diagnosis. It is called rebound tenderness and will feel like you are spliting apart AFTER you remove your hand and presure.
The pain generally moves then to your belly button.
You would have fever, nausea, vomiting and diarreah. Usually.
I say that because sometimes people only exhibit the pain and feeling a bit off.
Try the presure test. If this occurs and you think you have any other symptoms go to the ER straight away as it can go from not too bad to severe quickly.

appendicitis results in fever greater than 101. Often referred pain that occurs under the left shoulder blade. Lower abdominal pain that will affect the entire lower abdomen, not just the lower right. The worse it gets, the less likely you are to be able to stand up, let alone work. So if it is just a dull ache and you don't have a fever, I suggest you are most like constipated.

Because you are still able to ask this question, I don't think it's appendicitis.
The symptoms are extreme pain at the stomach and vomiting. Then the pain in the stomach will subside and transfer to your lower abdomen, particularly at the right side.
Visiting a doctor can help if you have second thoughts.

If the pain is new and doesn't keep you from functioning, you can wait a little while. Usually appendicitis also comes with nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea, as well as fever. If you have any of these symptoms or if the pain is very bad, I'd get it checked out soonest!

Ya need to get yourself checked. These things can burst and become life threatening. If you have the pain, then get a severe pain but then the pain goes away for awhile - it could have burst. The real bad pain is the burst and then it feels better UNTIL the infection is spread throughout your abd and then you are in serious trouble.
It's really not something to mess around with.
