Everyone is missing the point. You are at work. It is your boss's responsibility to take care of this situation, not yours. Your productivity and health are being affected.
Make an official request to your employer that you want the situation taken care of. He can get the music turned down, soundproof your floor, or move to you another office.
Otherwise find another job and pay the barber to turn the music up even lounder once you have left.

Why are his customers not complaining of the loud music, it's unusual to go to the barbers and they are playing loud music, but hey if it's true you could phone environmental health dept they will come out and measure the noise for you to see if it's too loud and if it is then he will have to turn it down or else be fined.

You should go up there and talk to him. Let him know that there's other people around him, and just like him...you're just trying to do your job. Ask him if he can turn it down some, either to where you can't hear it or low enough to where it's not rattling all your stuff. If it get's really out of hand you might want to think about calling in like a 'noise complaint' and have the police come talk to him. But if you can't beat him...join him, get him to play some music that you like. :)

Depending on the local laws, you should be able to report this guy to the City Council Noise abatement officer - fines will follow. Do yourself a favour and tell him you will report him if he does not reduce the noise. It's better you negotiate a compromise, than call in the law.

Your local council has a department which deals with noise nuisance. They will send an officer round to check the levels, etc., and have a word with the barber.

play some music you like loud, be it pop drum n bass or classical, or even heavy metal if you really feel like windin him up. paint the floor outside his shop with anti climbing paint people goin in and out will leave foot prints every where and its a bastard to get rid of. lol. you will have to find his power point to cut his power off, it'll be inside his shop, best way is to get someone whos a bit of a trouble maker to do this and bung them a tenner for their troubles. or sound proof your flat, or get the enviromental people round and say its givin you head aches and their'll make him pay to sound proof his shop. or just have another word with him, alone and in private, invite him up for a chat?

Who is your boss? The company has an obligation to provide you with adequate working conditions. Constant noise like that isn't adequate. Talk to the boss/company. If they won't help, I'd definately look for another job. I really sympathise with you, it's a nightmare.

well you have a lot of choices, like you cancuthis electricity,or throw every hair on him,and you can also put on a music more noisy and annoying than his,and if you wanna cut his power just do it,by having help from other people who live there,i'm sure they arepissed and annoyed as you are.
good luck

try explaining to him that you are trying to work upstairs and your desk happens to be directly above him therefore your getting the brunt of his music. Ask politely if he will turn it down while your at work and keep it at a reasonable level. Smile and be polite with relaxed body language. He should find it difficult to be aggressive if your not.
If that fails, contact your local environment agency and ask if there is anything they can do to help.

Keep a diary of when he annoys you. Ask him nicely and politely to turn it down and note what happens. Should he turn the volume up again contact the town hall to complain, and he should get a visit from the council asking him to officially STFU. If he doesn't comply they could prosecute him.
