Because really intelligent people realize they have so many other more important things to worry about than other people. People who think they are intelligent usually have a big ego and think it makes them look more intelligent to bash someone else. They think if they point the finger, no one will be looking at them.

I disagree with you 100%, I have noticed that many inteligent people feel they are better than others and proceeded to bait and insult people just because they can......I think it has more to do with arrogence than intelligence...

I am not sure that it has a lot to do with intelligence, but rather self esteem and confidence. A person who is balanced and secure within themselves feels no need to insult others. A person who is insecure or lacks self-esteem may feel a need to put another down in order to bring attention to themselves or temporarily elevate themselves above another.

I haven't found this to be true, at all. I've known quite a few very intelligent people who were a**holes. People of a higher intelligence tend to lack social skills all the way around.

Insulting has nothing to do with intelligence...rather it has more to do with the category of this question...etiquette.

I know several intelligent people who love to insult others. You're confusing manners with intelligence, although good manners are more common in intelligent people.

That's a false statement. There are many intelligent people who insult others, and there are many unintelligent people who don't.
