Diet. Eat smaller meals and eat more of them. Im on a fat loss kick at the moment and have just had a small chicken salad (meal #3 for the day).
Exercise. Resistance training and cardio can both be used to good effect here. Make sure you do 1-2 mins warm up followed by some weight training, with 15-20 mins of high intensity interval training to finish.
Education. Learn from the best. There are loads of articles freely available on the web concerning fat loss - do a google search and read a few of them. You'll soon learn what they all have in common - just do that!
In the last 6 weeks, Ive lost nearly a stone in weight, have lost 4 inches off my waist and can now fit into my favourite Tshirt again.

I'm afraid it's the same as everything else...
Keep hydrated
Eat less nice food
Do more exercise
You can try doing exercises for the obliques (the muscles at the side of your trunk) such as the side plank or single side lifts with lightish weights to help tone up.
Sit ups will help tone up the front but will not reduce excess fat round your middle.

I have never heard of a muffin top? If it's the part below your waist. Then intense sit up's will do the trick.

never heard of a muffin top. assume you mean just your belly below your waist. sit ups should work if you are doing them properly. go to a keep fit class and the instructor should be able to help.
