Question is a little foggy. You are getting a work vehicle but you want an auto. And someone wants a valid reason?
If you have a job, then save your money and buy what you want. If you don't want to drive the work vehicle, then don't. Make other arrangements, if you feel that strong about it.

Are you trying to say that you want an automatic transmission in your work vehicle? A valid reason would be you don't know how to drive a standard shift? Do You? Another reason would be that a good automatic transmission would probably be more economical in the long run than periodically replacing clutches in the standard transmission.

A valid reason is that you need the vehicle in order to get to work, perhaps? Just say you need it to work, that seems valid to me.

public transportation is too expensive , won't take you where you need to go or when you need to go,
you don't like sharing rides with bumbs , crack heads ,junkies, rapists ,robbers, and perverts..etc...
