Yes, People need to be responsible about what we teach our children. Reckless behavior can be dangerous to society and ourselves,This is kind of a psychosis.

This is an OK category, though you might also try Society and Culture > Lesbian, Gay, Transgender.

No, it's not crazy. It's unusual statistically, but certainly not unheard of. I don't know how old you are, but the beginning process of changing should always be counselling to make sure where the feeling is coming from. It may well end up that you decide to change genders, but you need to be really sure before you think about such a drastic step.

Once upon a time, not too very long ago a man who desired to be a woman would have been thought to be crazy. Now, it is not so very crazy because of what modern science has learned.
It has been found that at some point early on in the fetal development a mistake is made in the sex designation of the embryo. Where the child should have developed male, it develops female and where it should have been female it becomes male. This has been proven my checking DNA. (I saw this on the Discovery Channel.)
The way we see ourselves is not always the way that others see us. Many men and women have gone through years of unhappiness and confusion because of gender confusion and it is not until they make the decision for gender reassignment that they finally find some happiness.
While they may have to lose family and friends in the process, the decision to become who they believe they really are often has to take preference. This takes much soul searching and courage to make the decision and the lifelong commitment.
While there will always be the kook who is crazy... not everyone is.

"Crazy" is relative. The guy should probably seek counseling. There are therapists who deal with this kind of issue and might be able to help. If the guy were thinking of a sex change operation, I believe you have to live like the opposite sex for at least a year while taking hormones and dressing the part.
For what it's worth, I don't think God makes mistakes. Whatever body you were born in is the right one. I would suggest counseling to see if there's something at the root of feeling like you're not the right gender... and see if that can be fixed/healed. :o)

NOT A THING !!! live /deal with it !!! That is not theee BIGGEST problem that exist in this world !! "You're darn right,' it's CrRr`a`zZz"Y"~!! aswell as greedy !! I say greedy because he's clearly saying.. if it's true... He's clearly stating that he's un`greatful & un`happy with the sex & or apperance that meant him to be !! you thought that was a bold possibly wrong statement !?! Look at this.. I've told this to another person weeks ago on here !!Be strong!!, get away !! & do'nt look back !! better-yet. "Do'nt be as weak or un`believing as Lot's Wife was"!!I advise you to dis`associate yourself with such a person !! but something tells me you might LOOK~BACK!?! What does he have to do ? or show you before it's TOo late ? that's if you'll have time to be saved or save yourself !! " I'm not preaching !! just using an EXAMPLE"~!! "R"r`,r`r.-

i don't think its crazy....there are different answers depending on age. children i wouldn't worry about they just see their mother or sister as a roll model. teenagers should talk to someone about it like a counselor. adults may consider transgender surgery. don't worry. your thoughts and feelings are yours. if every one had the same thoughts, feelings, and opinions this world would be very dull. lol If surgery is out of the question you can just dress up in womans clothes and go party on weekends.

not really crazy...confused maybe. is he gay? or just wanting to trade genders for a reason or two?
Is he having problems with his sexuality?
Maybe if he isn't gay and is having other problems, he may want to see a therapist.
Once it is cut off, and gone, he can't get it sewed back on. He needs to seriously think about this before he makes any radical changes.

It is absolutely not crazy. There are so many people with the same feeling. Actually, my sister's lover used to be biologically a man, but always felt like a woman so she recently had surgery to become a woman. For more information look at this website: www.transgenderlawcenter.org

If you want to be a girl, why don't you try dressing as a girl first and see how you like being a girl, then you can take things from there.
