Do you have to give it to them before the wedding?
I was thinking that if you could get the photographer to take a pic of you and your parents on the wedding day, dressed up all nice, and another pic of your soon to be hubby/wife and their parents, you could get them framed and that would be a very personal gift for them. Only thing is they wouldn't be ready til after the wedding of course!

that's not the usual thing to do, to buy parents a gift. But, why not buy them something they can wear on your wedding day, like special earings or a pearl necklace, a tie clasp and money clip.. I mean you already have hired a photographer and you will be paying for the photo books that you will be giving to both sets of parents (plus keeping a set for yourself). That will be expensive.

What a great idea.
What I done was I got the photographer to take a family photo just before I left the house. We were standing at the front door just before I got into the wedding car to leave for the church. When all the photographs were delevoped I got this one enlarged. It is now hanging proudly on the sitting room wall of my parents house. When I see this photo I am looking at my last moments of single life. My husband done the same for his parents. You could get them enlarged to suit your budget.

Parents always love photos. Give them a framed photo of both of you on your wedding day. It is something they will LOVE and keep. The only problem, you will have to give the gift after the wedding.

When I got married I got the parents a nice stirling silver photo frame - the idea was that they put a photo of me & my hubby in it!
As its silver - you could always get it engraved with the date of the wedding on too.
Hope all goes well for your big day

How about booking them into a hotel for 1 or 2 nights in their favourite place.

That's a lovely thought.
Perhaps tickets to a show they would both like plus dinner at a really nice restaurant - and a bottle of champagne when they got home.
any or all three

Maybe a ornament, whatever their into. Parents are hard to buy for!!
