Does anyone know exactly what is held in the chip? Is it everything that was completed on the passport application form? That is far more than showing in the passport?

Hi,
The chip stores the passport holder's photo and the personal details printed on page 31 of the passport.
The data held on the chip can only be viewed by using our e-Passport reader Kiosks. IPS is currently piloting self-service e-passport readers, so that customers can view what is held on their biometric passport chip at each of the seven IPS regional offices. There is no requirement to book an appointment and the service is provided free of charge. Click here to view details of the IPS regional offices.

Do you know it has an Antenna built in ...? Shocked ! I was - forking out for a new passport is bad enough - but what I want to know is are they listening in ... the chip holds all the info that is written down about you.. plus who knows what else..

Not sure - suppose it contains everything on the application and could well have any criminal records, blood types, all sorts of stuff.

Prob allot more than you know, ask yourselves are these chips trackable from satellites ?,
nothing but big brother.
