For comparison sake I have found the cost of other wars we have fought in: Please not I cannot verify these numbers.

American Revolution cost us $120M then. In 2007 dollars it is $3.57B. We lost 25,324 citizens and 8445 were wounded.

The WWI cost us $33B. In 2007 dollars that is $642B. We lost 116,708 and 204,002 were wounded.

The WWII cost us $296B. In 2007, dollars that is $3.211Trillion {most expensive war in history}. 408,306 killed 670,946 wounded.

The Iraq War $439B. Cost are increasing at roughly $2B per week. 3580 Killed {we don't know actual number http://fairuse.100webcustomers.com/fairenough/courier00.html}

Even if the casualties of the Iraqi War were 1 killed and cost of $1M the cost would be too high. We are in Iraq without a clear cut strategy as to how to achieve victory. We are in Iraq without a clear picture as to why we are even there.

In all the wars that you listed above, America had a clear benefit as to why it was participating. The American Revolution ... well we kinda instigated that one and we no longer wanted to speak with a british accent ... believe it or not that whole tax thing was secondary LOL.

WWI and WWII ... well let's just say that I'm glad we are not speaking with German accents.

Back to Iraq. I iterate that we have no clear picture as to why we are there and no clear picture as to how to proceed. I am a retired military officer. After leaving the military, I worked at some of the best and largest companies in America. I currently on my own company. I have seen in corporate america how the mediocre can and do rise to the top of the corporate ladder.

I have never seen a mediocre person attain the rank of Flag Officer in the military {either becoming a general or an admiral}. Why is it then that so many Flag Officers are being relieved of their command or even fired by this administration? It’s definitely not because of incompetence. It’s because this administration is trying to force a square peg into a round whole and fabricate benefit where none exist … and they will retire / fire as many military personnel as necessary to accomplish their agenda..

well, we´re not going to know until the outcome....

if in the end, congress signs some bill forcing us to leave, than no.... that will be +$439 billion down the drain and +3500 dead soldiers and +20,000 wounded... and for what? So the democrates can taint the republicans name and win the presidency?

WWII was the most expensive war in history, (in human lives as well as financially) but something good did come of it... up until 1945, europe was the main destabilizing force in the world. It took the deadliest war in history to end that.

right now, the middle east is the destabilizing force, and if we can bring about democracy (which is contagious, look at most Democratic countries and their neighbors) and bring about peace, and help Iraq become a developed country like we did to S.Korea, Japan, Germany after their respected wars then absolutely...

absolutely these costs are worth it... it makes the world a much better place and is one step closer to world peace.

you can look at some of the other countries where we had forces and then left, Vietnam, Somalia, to name a few... you seem like an intelligent person so i don´t think i need to explain what happen there when we left and what is still happen in one of the countries.

properly, we´re unlikely to recognize until eventually the result.... if contained in the tip, congress warning signs some invoice forcing us to pass away, than no.... which would be +$439 billion down the drain and +3500 lifeless infantrymen and +20,000 wounded... and for what? So the democrates can taint the republicans call and win the presidency? WWII replaced into the main costly conflict in history, (in human lives as properly as financially) yet some thing stable did come of it... up until eventually 1945, europe replaced into the main destabilizing tension contained in the international. It took the deadliest conflict in history to end that. suitable now, the midsection east is the destabilizing tension, and if we are in a position to deliver approximately democracy (that's contagious, look at maximum Democratic international places and their acquaintances) and produce approximately peace, and help Iraq grow to be a progressed united states like we did to S.Korea, Japan, Germany after their respected wars then honestly... honestly those costs are properly worth it... it makes the international a miles greater suitable place and is one step closer to international peace. you could look at lots of the different international places the place we had forces and then left, Vietnam, Somalia, to call some... you look like an sensible individual so i don´t think of i'd desire to describe what happen there as quickly as we left and what continues to be happen in between the international places.

The Iraq war has been a huge mistake by an overly agressive administration, namely Dick Cheney who controls everything.. Loss of life, and terrible cost resulting in one thing, a more agressive enemy, fortified and given cause by the mistakes of this administration. One has to wonder why the American people have embraced this war as they have, and 9/11 has nothing to do with Iraq and from all reports Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11... So Why are we there?

Wars are manipulated and are moneymakers for the upper bankers.
No war is justified, just ask the average people. "Do you want war?"
The answer is certainly no.
Many times the war between two nations or countries is financed by the same people, win or loose money is made. Many leaders want to reduce the population growth. A good political speaker is Lyndon Larouche. http://larouchepac.com and http://canadianactionparty.ca
