It does depend. Most so-called bottled mineral waters are not so high in minerals. Tap water is actually biologically safer but tends to taste less good than bottled. Whilst drinking water helps to flush out the undesirables from your body, it can also flush salt and minerals which you need. So long as you are replacing salts as part of a good diet, it matters less about the kind of water you drink.

I think that it's principally to flush out all the impurities via your kidneys and for hydration so it doesn't really matter.

In most developed countries, tap's purer but mineral often tastes better.
