We all know how many calories he aversge, women and man should consume a day. But how many calories should a todler consume. I appreciate the mixed well balanced diet theory, which he has. But I was wondering if there were any guidelines that would help me.
I also appreciate that a child will eat as much as it needs. I am loking for specific not general answers.

If you would like to find out the nutrient content of different foods, you should take advantage of the USDA huge database of nutrient analyzed foods. Go to www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/cgi-bin/nut_search.pl

Yahoo has a search engine as well as the Answers forum. It's probably a better choice when you want specifics rather than general answers.

The second hit on a search gave me "Toddlers need about 1000-1200 calories a day"

Another one stated "900 to 1700 on average"

Obviously the child's size, age, and activity level changes his/her needs

Well, if the child is active and eats as much as he needs, why are you asking this question?
