Please tell me a computer program that identifies if you have 2 or more (song) files of the same song and eventually erases one of them from your omputer??? Thank you.

Do you know the name of the file? If so, run a search (start - search) and let the pc search and see what is there. If there is more than one you will see them and where they are on your pc.

uh oh........... I went though this w my gf comp....some songs were protected and some werent and there were hundreds.

I downloaded windows media player 11
in the library set the details to include date or format
(MP4's bad bad)


and just erase the bad ones by hand good luck It took me like a day to erase evry thing....then defragment ur harddrive and u'll be good to go

hit the start menu do a search and type for search parameters choose song and than type in the name of the song and the drive it is located, if there is more than one it will bring them up and you can delete from there the one you don't want.

go onto softopidea and search for mp3 converter
