I think that eating paper is not normal. Try finding a snack that you can eat whenever your carving for paper. And eat the snack instead of the paper.

Not really. Eating non-food items is called pica and while I'm not a psychologist/psychiatrist, it is usually considered to be a symptom of some disorder. Why do you eat paper, would be the next question. An interesting sidenote, my husband and I were curious about what made up the "substance" of many food items that are dairy/fat free. Dole whip, a non-dairy ice cream, is an example. Listed as one of it's main ingredients was cellulose, which we consider to be paper or at least a form of paper.

Its normal in a way.
I used to do this when i was younger.
It probably because you do it for comfort and possibly your hungry.
You need to one, stop swallowing it tell yourself it could do harm when you get older and two, start eating proper food.
Everytime you want to chew on paper just put it down and walk to the kitchen and get some fruit or something.

people eat grass, flowers, bugs so eating paper is relatively normal compared to everything else which is edible in the world.
but it shouldn't be a regular meal! that stuff can be obtained by walking down to the supermarket and those are the foods which you should be eating everyday.

Well, seeing as paper isn't considered a food, no it's not normal. I would stop, you never know what's in that paper. There's chemicals and tree particles.

What type of paper?
News paper or tissue paper?
If it is newspaper and is not the current one, it is OK. Go ahead.
If it is tissue paper, and it is not used one, again it is OK, Go ahead.
Be wary about today's newspaper and used tissue paper.
