I take it all in stride. But I'm not on the offensive in any form of dialogue and do not bash anyone in a derogatory way. My spirit feels that this is obscene and ungodly. I will always strive to produce a clear, fair, and godly response to any question, regardless of motive. If my answer affected a non-believer to the point of repentance, then God is smiling. If my answer was laden with pride and self-will, then I have to answer to God on that one. He will deal with me and my heart in time - I am open to His correction and discipline.
If anything, I always take the route to promote laughter. God never meant to stifle humor. He just wants us to enjoy and have fellowship with one another, in good clean fun. And bashing one another does not fit into His plan.
God Bless You abundantly!

>>Can we all just stop the bashing? Whats your opinion<<
We should but it will not happen. Why? Because the Internet gives a person anonymity from everyone and due to this people will bash, mock, express hate, and so forth and not have to worry about other people knowing who they really are.
If a debate was done in person, the reaction would be different. Yeah the Internet is a great thing but at the same time is also a bad thing.

"Bashing" anyone for their beliefs or opinions only creates hard feelings and drives people further apart. By answering in a caring and considerate manner, we can actually exchange ideas without causing anger and frustration. As Christians we should show love toward all-those who bash and those who ask those extremely controversial questions just to get angry responses. If we as christians respond to those in a loving and considerate way, the asker may actually feel less anger toward us and start to really get the message. God is love-not anger and bashing others.

I don't think we need to bash each other.
I refuse to take part in the discussions that begin with a questioner bashing those that don't agree with them [I have observed both atheists and Christians going at it]
and vice a versa.
Is bashing really necessary?
Can't we agree to disagree. Argue one's point, yes, say you think the other person is wrong or inaccurate, but the insults don't accomplish anything.
I agree, no more bashing.

The beauty of this site is the great diversity that it contains. It may seem like bashing at times but to me it's good to see people of different religions actually talking to each other, albeit not always politely lol! But it's a start and that is good.
A bit of bashing in a safe environment is ok IMHO.

Yea I think bashing is unproductive- but it does keep the discussion lively and exciting. And even in the middle of all the bashers, you generally do tend to get a great answer or two so it's all good, isn't it? I think everyone takes advantage of being faceless, you can say what you want, you can conform to stereotypes, you can get your prejudices out there the way you cannot in real life.

to quote lion of judah "
Atheist will "bash" because they are convicted by sin
"
you are falling under the very convictions that you describe.
i'm an atheist, and i've never bashed anyone, i have best friends who are christian, and a couple of friends form other religions, we get along find.
it's the extremists, on -all- sides, that cause the problems for everyone else.
the majority of people, christians, muslims, hindus, atheists and judaist's alike are probably good people, tainted by the actions of a few bad eggs within their groups.
oh, and of your view of a comparison of atheists to religious people? that's nonsensical, as atheism means a disbelief in a god, there are godless religions ( though from the top of my head i can't name any significant ones).
godless doesn't mean barren of religion.

Yeah, it would be good if the bashing would end... but some people think that a simple statement of belief is "bashing" someone who believes differently. Yeah, the name calling and such isn't helpful... but people like to have their fun. :)

In defense of everyone--There SHOULD be no meaning to the individuals involved. Your(what ever your belief) is wrong.
Needs to be taken as a challenge not a condemnation of self worth. I can stand against any belief system and have no evil intent to the person attached to that belief. To differ is Human . Lets all try to differ in an amicable way. Don't let someone else control your feeling.

I agree. Just offer opinions in a respectful way. And I expect the same from those that ask questions, too.
