In the previous versions of MS Office (XP and 2003) you could dictate on the microphone, and the program would type for you. Can this be done in Office 2007?

Speech recognition features are not available in the 2007 Microsoft Office system programs.

If your operating system is Microsoft Windows XP, you must run a previous version of a Microsoft Office system program to use speech recognition features.

Since Office 2007 was designed to run with Vista you can enable the Vista voice system to use with it or revert to Office 2003.. MS has a big article on this just check the Office 2007 help on microsofts site.
