The Bible does not discuss masturbation at all. This seems a little odd since it is such a strong and prevalent human event. And, given that Leviticus has so much to say about sexuality, one would think it natural that the subject would be covered. But it isn't. Masturbation is not specifically declared to be sinful. Nevertheless, we must be cautious to pronounce something to be sinful or not sinful when God has not discussed it. Therefore, we have to derive principles from scripture on related sexual issues and see if we can wisely apply them to the subject of masturbation.
First of all, sex was created by God for procreative purposes, physical enjoyment, and the demonstration of intimacy between a husband and a wife. In this context, the sexual act is intended to occur in a healthy marriage relationship between husband and wife in purity and holiness. In contrast to this, masturbation is the self stimulation to the point of sexual release without the gifting of a spouse. It would seem that masturbation is a denial of the sexual design of God for couples. But, is it sinful? Again, answering this question is difficult because the Bible does not pronounce it as sin. Nevertheless, there is the principle of purity that is obvious true. Does masturbation fall under the category of purity?
We can say this for sure. If masturbation involves sexual fantasies and/or pornography, then it is certainly not pure and is very sinful. The Bible clearly teaches that our minds are as important to God as our bodies are and that we are to remain pure in both. Jesus said, "You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery’; 28 but I say to you, that everyone who looks on a woman to lust for her has committed adultery with her already in his heart," (Matt. 5:27-28). Jesus is saying that thinking lustful thoughts is sinful. Therefore, masturbation involving sexual fantasies (at least not of one's spouse) is undoubtedly sinful.
But this brings up the issue of a spouse masturbating while thinking of his/her spouse. Is it sinful? Again, since the Bible does not declare it sinful, can we? Let's say that a wife is incapacitated by an accident and is in the hospital for an extended period of time. Is it alright for the husband to masturbate if he thinks only of his wife in order to relieve sexual tension? Again, without a specific declaration of scripture it is difficult pronounce it as sinful. On the one hand, his body is not his own and it is for his wife and he is not to be mastered by anything (1 Cor. 6:12). But on the other hand, she is not available. Would his masturbation be sinful should he commit it if he only thought of his wife? I cannot say for sure.
Then again, what if someone masturbates with absolutely no sexual fantasy of any sort. Is it then sinful? Again, this is difficult to answer. But, since the Bible doesn't condemn or condone it, can we make dogmatic assertions? Furthermore, what if a person masturbates in order to reduce the sexual urge in an attempt to not commit fornication? Certainly, actual fornication would be a sin, and masturbation would be preferable in this instance. But does this mean that the person is being mastered by the flesh? If so, then that would be wrong. But, does it mean then that a self-release of sexual tension is then acceptable if it is to avoid fornication? Again, since the Bible does not declare masturbation a sin, I cannot say it is.
Let's look at some verses that speak of sexual morality. I will comment after each one.
1 Cor. 6:18, "Flee immorality. Every other sin that a man commits is outside the body, but the immoral man sins against his own body."
The Greek word for "immorality" is porneia which means illicit sexual intercourse, i.e., fornication, homosexuality, lesbianism, bestiality, etc. The English word "pornography" is derived from this Greek word.
Eph. 5:3, "But do not let immorality or any impurity or greed even be named among you, as is proper among saints."
Again, the word for "immorality" is porneia.
Col. 3:5, "Therefore consider the members of your earthly body as dead to immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed, which amounts to idolatry."
Again, the word for "immorality" is porneia.
1 Thess. 4:2, "For you know what commandments we gave you by the authority of the Lord Jesus. 3 For this is the will of God, your sanctification; that is, that you abstain from sexual immorality; 4 that each of you know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, 5 not in lustful passion, like the Gentiles who do not know God."
Again, the word for "sexual immorality" is porneia. The reference in verse four to "own vessel" is to having a wife so that fornication would be avoided.
Conclusion
The goal of the Christian life is to be pure in thought and deed. I believe that the issue of masturbation comes down to this. Therefore, I believe that though masturbation under certain circumstances may not be sinful, the desire to be sexual pure and holy should move the Christian to avoid it. Instead, he or she should seek to master the body and not give into its desires. The fight against masturbation can be a lesson in controlling the body which can have great spiritual benefits. Giving in to masturbation can have spiritual consequences and mastering the body can bring great spiritual benefit. Perhaps God did not mention masturbation the Bible because He is so aware of our sinful tendencies, our situations, our difficulties, etc., and desires that we seek holiness and purity by seeking to master our own flesh. If God had declared that it was not a sin, then we can rest assured that we would misuse the act and become enslaved by it.
If, however, you are bound by masturbation and war against it because it masters you, then you continually need to go to the cross and ask the Lord to forgive you. Also, pray and ask the Lord to provide you a spouse so that you would not fall into bondage of the flesh.
What about Onan in Gen. 38:9?
Some erringly cite Onan in Gen. 38:9 who spilled his seed on the ground, as a justification for masturbation. But this is a mistake since this is not dealing with masturbation.
"And Onan knew that the offspring would not be his; so it came about that when he went in to his brother’s wife, he wasted his seed on the ground, in order not to give offspring to his brother," (Gen. 38:9).
This is not about masturbation. It is about the failure of Onan to give children to Tamar, the widow of his brother, and fulfill his duty to raise offspring in his brother's name. By refusing his obligation, he sinned.
What does the Bible say about pornography?
Is it wrong?
Even though the Bible does not say anything about pornography, specifically, pornography is still wrong. Pornography deals with photography and/or illicit paintings and/or cartoons that are designed to arouse sexual passions in the viewer. It is certainly possible that at the time when the Bible was written that there were various art forms that depicted sexually explicit things. But apparently this phenomenon was not sufficiently prevalent enough for the subject to be addressed in the Bible. Nevertheless, we can derive an accurate conclusion from scriptures that deal with other issues and apply them to the issue of pornography.
Matt. 5:27, “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery’; 28 but I say to you, that everyone who looks on a woman to lust for her has committed adultery with her already in his heart."
1 Cor. 6:18, "Flee immorality. Every other sin that a man commits is outside the body, but the immoral man sins against his own body."
Col. 3:5, "Therefore consider the members of your earthly body as dead to immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed, which amounts to idolatry."
As you can see the Bible tells us to be sexually pure. This is why Jesus even tells us to guard our minds. Note that He said in Matt. 5:27 that to even look on a woman lustfully is to commit adultery with her. In viewing pornography, nakedness, and explicit sexual displays lust is not only given the opportunity to rise (thereby enticing since) but most often lustful passions and thoughts are triggered in the heart and mind. This is obviously sinful and clearly demonstrates that pornography is sinful. Add to this that oftentimes pornography involves viewing sexual intercourse between unmarried people, and or homosexual and lesbian activities, and we have a very clear case of it being sinful. Even if the pornography does not involve viewing sexual intercourse between two people, it involves the viewing of naked individuals which is properly reserved for a husband and a wife.
Now someone may ask "What about art? It often portrays the nakedness of men and women? Why isn't that pornographic?" The difference between art and pornography is the difference between beauty and lust. In art the nakedness is intended to be a display of beauty and wonder. Pornography does no such thing. It's intent is to entice a person by arousing the person's lust. But then, someone may say that they view pornography as an art form and that it is beautiful. But this is nothing more than an attempt to justify sin.

First of all RELAX. Calm down God loves you more than humans are even capable of, let alone understand. Just talk to whatever + spirit you believe in like a friend. God is the best friend you have right now and forever. He forgave you before you were born. Keep asking for help. When you find yourself thinking something you don't want to be thinking, tell yourself : Cancel, Cancel, and start to repeat + thoughts. If you know of no positive sayings, learn some. Until then pick up a book on quotes, or whatever makes you think positively. Soon you will be an expert on controlling those thoughts. I know, I'm a recovering addict and I don't think about drugs much anymore. When I do, it's like they float in one ear and out the other. God understands, he created you. God forgives, you are His child. God loves you completely without any conditions. Relax into that God, and believe you are special to God.
Blessed Be

Yes Jesus will forgive you for masterbating, assuming you're truly sorry when you ask for forgiveness. Don't let anyone tell you differently.
Sounds like you have some other issues besides guilt. Get away from the porn You're a teen and a lot of what your experiencing is a part of growing up. Just be strong in the Lord and ask him for strength.
And quit stressing out about it.

This is how the devil works. He will try to lure you with the pleasures of the flesh. Once he has you there, he will continue to place the fleeting pleasures in front of you to keep you enslaved. Your conscience is telling you that you are engaging in something that you shouldn't be doing.
The unwanted thoughts are the fruits of the pornography. It will take a while to get those visions from your mind. But you can do it with prayer and sacrifice. But first, you must get rid of the porn. It will enslave you, and you are much too young to allow the devil to win.
I will recommend a website that will help you combat this addiction. It is run by a friend of mine here in Tulsa that was addicted to porn. He has conquered it, and is now helping others.

First let me say, You claim to have been a Christian all you life, Are you saying that you were raised in a Christian home? That does NOT save you, You yourself have to have an experince with God yourself. Therefore until you have your own personal experince, you are not a Christian. Now concerning thoughts, The only thing that has so far been redeem if we are a True Born again Christian is our soul, Our body has not yet been redeemed. This flesh wars against the spirit, But as you grow in the Lord, You are more able to keep these thoughts out of your mind. There is an old saying, you can not help what lands in your mind, but you don't have to let it stay there. You ask will God forgive you & hear you, Yes if you are honest.

Jesus said he would never leave you nor forsake you. He will be with you always, even unto the end of the world. People mess up every day. You should never do so on purpose, but remember there is nothing that God won't forgive except the blasphemy of the Holy Ghost.
Matthew 12:31
Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
He loves you now just as he loved you as a child. You are his child and he will never stop loving you.

first, 'unwanted thoughts' have been upsetting people from the beginning of time. so long as they are unwanted, you have not 'sinned' -- it's only when you begin to enjoy lingering over them that things get complicated.
second - ask your parents to download the free webfilter from www.k9webprotection.com --- then they can adjust the filter to block porn sites and such - it's really great! i use it myself.
third - i just recently came accross some advice on what to do when 'pornographic' thoughts bother us, and that is - to sincerly pray for the person, or persons, that you are thinking about.

One of the biggest lies that the Devil and his agents will tell you is "You are not worthy of the love of God". The devil will try to make you frustrated with life and the bad choices that you make that you will forget about the good choices that you make.
Try doing good things for a change. Actually stop looking at porn. Destroy it, get it out of your house. Pornography really is a tool of evil and pernicious people who are the agents of Satan.
Stop doing bad things and do good things, pray for help, and for heavens sake, stop beating yourself up everytime you stumble.
The Lord Jesus Christ is knocking on the door, you have the responsibility to open the door and follow Him with all of your heart. It sounds like you are merely giving Jesus lip service by buying into the whole idea that one only has to utter the name of jesus and they are saved. Don't be fooled, the Lord expects you and I do do our best at all times. That is our duty, that is our work.
We are saved by grace AFTER all we can do.

if you are saved and believe in Jesus' work on the cross then you are forgiven...no one is perfect, everyone sins and makes mistakes. this just happens to be one of your weaknesses...everyone has them. and i believe satan uses your weaknesses to hurt you and make you think God doesn't love you or doesn't care. you have to have faith, and remember God loves all his children.satan wants you to doubt your salvation. if this thing your doing is bothering you then it's because God is convicting you, just keep praying for strength. any time someone who is truly saved and truly wants to please God, when they sin they feel guilty...this is Gods way of working on your heart. people who aren't saved , don't understand and some probably don't see anything wrong with treir sins, they don't think they are sinners. but everybody sins.it's so good to see a young person so strong in their faith, don't ever stop believing, and don't ever think God doesn't hear you...He does. i wish and pray that other teens were like you, there are less and less every day. i will pray for you to be happy with yourself and to learn to have power over your sins.

God will never give up on you. Now it's your job to work on your OCD and get your life straight and be right with God. He's standing there ready to welcome you back. Don't let anybody tell you different. Your relationship with God should not be messed with by someone who thinks they know better then you how things are with you and God. Pray to him and tell him you're sorry and you're still trying. He won't let you down. Don't ruin that by beating yourself up.

The things you mention are all sin and lead to bondage. Only by surrendering it all to Jesus Chrsit, can you have victory. Each of the things you mention leads to more curse and destruction and eventual hell. BUt if you will love Jesus and accept Him and obey Him, you cn have the desires of His heart and will have no desire to tdo those things. Its your choose tho. You must love Jesus more than you love your sin.
LEt us know how you do. God is always quick and eager to forgive, becasue He love syou so much, like HE loves us all. How much do you love Him tho? Enough to obey, or just do what you do, feel bad about it, and hope He can still forgive you. No He will not. We choose to belive and we chose to obey. Choice is yours. Once you turn to Jesus and ask Him to break this curse, and will obey Him, you wont have an urge to do any of this, as you will hate sin as Jesus does and desire to do only His will. GOd bless you.
