The dog is 4 years old, we got her from a Pug rescue and do not know much about her past.

you could buy one of those baby gates that keeps babys and animals out of a room that could keep her out of the room until she is housebroken!

If she isn't use to a crate don't start because she is 4 years old. Don't let your puggie go into your daughters room.

it could be a territorial issue. Crate training is best - my dogs love their crates, it's their very own little den, very special to them. When properly crate trained your dog will not be upset as much if she has to spent time in one at a vets or traveling.

close your daughters door and buy a crate
