I don't understand it. I am a huge Seattle Mariners fan, and I don't get it. The thing is that most of my fellow fans don't get it either. If it was at the beginning of the season when they struggled, or at the end of last year, I would understand. But now?! 8 game winning streak, 4 games out of the best record in Baseball (LA) and 1 game out of the wild card. Maybe it is a thing with Ichiro, I know they didn't get along at first...but I don't know. Help me out?

isnt it amazing? people who get paid millions of dollars to play or manage a game get burned out...that is awesome.
was it all the film watching of other teams? was it deciding which pitcher to bring in during the 9th while sitting on your behind? was it talking to reporters.....well i can understand that one.
i just think of teachers who have done their job for 30 years who get paid nothing, soldiers who serve 20 years while going to combat zones for years at a time, nurses who watch people die every day and have to take orders from doctors who work less than they do for more money.

He said that he lacked the passion to be a major league manager anymore. He said it was not fair to his players to be playing for a guy who doesn't have enough passion for the game. It was strange to see him bolt during the middle of the season. The Mariners are pretty good this year.

He felt that his heart wasn't in it anymore and he felt it wasn't fair to push his players to put everything into the game when he wasn't all into it.
