No. The info is stored in something of a "hard drive" for the device...the battery dying or being removed will not remove your information.

This question is not one easily answered. My old Sony Clie PEG-TJ27 used a volatile non-flash memory (no PDA's do not use hard drives, being hard drives are the size of a CD) and when the battery goes low I do lose data. Now the newer PDAs that use a flash memory will not do this. I cannot give you an accurate answer without the model of organizer you have. As for backing your data, I'd recommend buying some kind of expandable memory and backing it up on there, there should be a backup utility on the handheld, if not check at the link below. Expandable memory consists of SD cards, MSPro, MS, MS Pro Duo, SDIO and the such. If you could e-mail me the model of Palm you have I could give you a more accurate answer, jediwookiemaster_287@yahoo.com.
But with the information here I cannot give an answer.

I have a brand new in box Crimson TREO 680 for sale!
I was using it for a couple of days, though it still has the plastic on the screen and everthing; I got the one I wanted, so I don't need the crimson color anymore. . .
hit me up ASAP if interested. . .
$400; accepting offers. . .
