Last night I ran across a 7 month old question whose voting ended up in a tie. I posed a question asking " Does this qualify as an extremely stupid question?"

I then posted a link to the question I was referring to. Can someone explain to me why its is a violation?? The thing got over 50 answers before Yahoo yanked it.

I dont get it. A person asks a VERY mean and rude question about epileptics, and that puppy is still here, and this inane question gets pulled. Do you think that is fair??

Well, I just got my explanation from Yahoo. It would appear that calling a question "stupid" is considered as insulting to other members, and thusly the question was pulled. The user was NOT called stupid, the question WAS.

I post this addendum so that those reviewing this question may modify their question format if needed, and am now closing the question. Thank you for participtaing!!

Are you serious? I think it was harmless, but a pretty clear violation. I've heard of violations for a lot less....like my violations, for example!
:)

I've given up trying to understand the thinking process behind the decisions they make. If you value your sanity, I would suggest you do the same.

BTW thanks for all the replies: you can all spell so I've put you on my Contacts list!

People violate for anything. It's very aggravating. I get violations just because I don't agree with someone. I wouldn't sweat it kiddo.
