Usually not. It's a way to get more info on you so they can keep sending you more promotional crap and hopefully get you to buy something

If you didn't enter a lottery, you didn't win one, as simple as that. We're having a terrible time with my mother-in-law, who's 89. She's convinced that she has won all these lotteries that contact her, even though she never entered them and they keep saying she just has to give them a little more money and she can get her winnings. She won't believe us that they're scams, just because the people seem so nice. We've had her talk to the Postmaster, I've called the Attorney General's office, I'm a lawyer and have laid it out for her, but she still insists on spending her entire Social Security check on them so she can "leave us something." Please don't fall for this.

I get emails like that all the time and I am very leary of them. I think their a scam and would just ignore them. Be careful what you put out on the internet because your info can be used against you. Take care!
