OK, before you check your PC for this and that and assume alot of things, its important to know the actual error code, couse that will tell you if it is a virus, modem, IE problem etc.
So, when you get the Blue screen of death, there you be a error code to go with it, something like this (0x0000008E (KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED) error.
Can you post the error here?)

1st thing is do is a FULL virus check on all drives and spyware check.

You must have a lot of viruses. I recommend you switch your web browser to Mozilla Firefox. It's safe and easy to use and it's virus free :)
