He has been absolutely horrible lately? I cannot find any information as to weather he is hurt or not. He has great numbers against almost all of the pitchers he's facing next week. Should I sit him though since he's so ice cold? My alternative is to play Aubrey Huff.

He plays for the Pirates, that's what's wrong with him.

Bay has been so bad lately that his average has fallen from .312 a month ago to just .266. Manager Jim Tracy just gave him two days off in hopes it will snap him out of the slump. He had a similar bad stretch last season (though not as long) and came out of it okay. Hopefully since many of the Pirates hitters have come more lively lately, it will rub off on Bay. Hang in there with him, I think he will be coming out of it soon and he is a much better threat than Huff.

Bay is currently sitting on 262-12-50 which is low for him. Every player goes through a down cycle sometime during the season and Jason Bay is in one now. He is a good hitter and there is no reason why he shouldn't finish the season around 290-28-110.

He'll turn it around...he started off the season hot, and has been cold lately, like you said. Maybe facing the pitchers that he has success against will help turn him around and get him back on track. He's a proven hitter, and like the person above mentioned, he will finish the season with a great line.

All players go through a slump during the season, he'll pick it up.
