Will a 200 SR/month food allowance be enough in Jeddah?

Also, can you guys give me an idea how much toilet items like bath soap, shampoo, toothpaste, etc. costs in Jeddah.

That's like 2$ per day. It sure is NOT enough, unless you want to live on sardines. It's easy to eat on a budget though, but you will need something around 600 SR/Month (minimum).
It also depends on how much, what, and where you eat.

The cheapests meals are:
For Breakfast:
Croissant 2 SR
Donut 2 SR
Mankousheh 2 SR
For Lunch/Dinner:
Falafel 2 SR
Shawerma 3 SR
Lahm B'ajeen 4 SR
Al Baik meal 10 SR
Pizza 12 SR
Burger King meal 15 SR
Coca Cola 1 SR

But you can't eat junk food everyday. If you want to eat healthy, stick to Lebanese restaurants. They offer healthy daily meals for a cheap price (10 to 15 SR)

Other costs:
Bottle of Water 1 SR
Soap 2 SR
Toothpaste 5 SR
Shampoo 7 SR
Tissues 2 SR
Taxi 10-15 SR

In conclusion, Jeddah is a really affordable place.
But 200 SR/month can't satisfy the belly ;)
As someone mentioned, the foold allowance is just a figure. So consider the whole salary, to see if it it's suitable.

It depends how you want to live. Some meals cost more than SR 200 in posh & fancy restaurants. For me, even SR 2000 is not enough, unless you want to eat peanuts everyday!!!! Look at the whole package, if the salary is good it can cover your need for food, the food allowance is just a figure.

i'll go with the suggestion of the dragon, coz u have to c the overall package. just 200 SRiyal as per my knowledge is k.o for u but u'll b in very tight condition then, i am sure min. monthly expenses for a single person would cost min. of 300 S/R again in sharing/deviding not to bear the expenses alone. if u want to do it separately then it would go around 600 S/R or more. yet even with this keep this in mind it would be from a lower class restaurant. not at all a hotel!!!
just make a review of ur over all package and c howmuch could u save from tht after all ur basic needs. then take ur f/a as ..........roughly as 500 S/R and c r u able to save good money . if yes go ahead , if not still ur choice..........

I don't know what UAE has to do with Jeddah.

Jeddah is located in the West coast of Saudi Arabia.
