I'm not asking for someone to justify my existence, I'm merely saying, the only way I can see for a person to justify their existence is by furthering mankind, academically, or by trying to reverse the evils mankind has wrought upon this beautiful earth. But, I don't know, does Love, justify one's existence? does making others happy justify one's existence? I don't really know where I'm going with this, so I'll stop here.

Getting deeply philosophical on a Monday morning and making us think, huh??? I'm sure that there as many "reasons" for self-justification as there are inhabitants on this planet......Throughout the eons, "mankind" has been evolving, but we're still obviously in our infancy in that respect, or why would we be trying to annihilate the entire planet with global warming, pollution, overpopulation, etc., if we were above that?? I digress........Love, selflessness, giving of one's self, are all the components of the justification of one's existence.....And a positive attitude doesn't hurt in the mix, either......I personally would like to start with global peace and then work our way up from there......we have a long way to go!!! Peace to all.......

Everyone has some things that they are really good at; whether it is academically, spiritually, physically or mentally based, I'm sure with the right tutelage most of the world would prove that even the average idiot is an intelligent human being, if given the chance to succeed.

I think that all a person needs to be able to do to justify their existence is to be able to smile an honest smile. It's the most innocent form of love, and it is a powerful thing. Like ripples in the water, it could pervade the earth.

It is not our job to justify anyone else's existence but our own.

That doesn't mean that you can't stand back and look at the advantages or disadvantages that have brought someone to the success or lack of success in their life. It just means that some people need to see an honest smile from someone more often than another person might need.

I hope this helps. peace.

Love does justify our existence, partly because love does undo some of the evil mankind has wrought. We make the world better by loving each other first of all, which leads to other acts of good that change our world for the better.
Unfortunately there is a lot of evil in this world, so we have a long, long way to go.

If you think that by doing good here and making peoples lives better and all is a good justification fine. But perhaps the need to do so is simple, a social desire developed out of the natural urgings and desires of being alive and seeing others and wanting to insert yourself objectively in social reality in a way particular to your personal feelings of how you want to be. You see others do so and so why not get in on the action. It is normal, perhaps a little more normal than that of having no desires and feelings of mutual advancement at all.
