When republican's are in office they take care of wealthy business, and they are expected to trickle on the rest of Americans. Bush's time in office is one of the best examples of that.
I'm not going to say Democrats are perfect, but during the Clinton years, life was so much more fair, for everyone.
I'm sure you can guess how I'll be voting in 08.

Change is not possible in this country without activism ... 30-40 years ago dissent was the norm among an informed and conscientious populace.

Why doesn't the middle class ... those adversely affected by the policies of the current administration send 10% of their numbers to march on Wahington? By the same token, why doesn't the wealthiest americans ... those who benefit greatly from the current administration, pick up 10% of their numbers from the country club and have a march (err... ride their golf carts) on Washington? Why don't we let the two marches be on the same day?

What is that the Republicans love to say ... let the free market decide? Why don't we watch how millions upon millions of proud middle class confront the richest 200,000 in this country ... the same rich class who are riding the middle class into the ground on a daily basis. As far as who triumphs or if any punches are thown ... let's let the free market decide.

This is why there are rumblings in the Republican underground against one man, one vote. the premise is ... if you are rich and pay more income tax, shouldn't your vote be worth more .... maybe 5, 10, 20 times that of a mere commoner. Watch closely for Republican legislation that is heading this way. It would likely occur in tiny bits and pieces, until the right leaning Supreme Court can step in and open the door fully.

So, your answer is to tax the wealthy in this country even more than what they are being taxed now?

As Winston Churchill once said " A country trying to tax it's way to prosperity is like a man standing in a bucket and trying to pick himself up".

The tax cuts work, they create more jobs, offer more investment opportunities, and allow more saving.

I AM in the "middle class"; I'm not poor and I'm not rich. I'm trying to come up with some way that President Bush's economic policy has hurt me............

Nope, not happening.

No, I'm tired of democrats sponging off of the middle class. People who are to stupid or lazy to get off of their asses and provide for themselves, should have nothing.
