Yes. You sing with your voice box and vocal chords, not with your tonsils :)
I wouldn't try to sing immediately after your tonsilectomy though, as your throat might be a bit sore. Happy singing!

Sure. A singing voice originates from the larynx or voice box not your tonsils. Tonsils are two masses of tissues on the back of the throat. Tonsils and adenoids are near the entrance to the breathing passages where they can catch incoming germs, which cause infections Sometimes, they become infected and need to be removed. as in your case probably. No, you 'll be find. You won't lose your speaking or singing voice. Thyroidectomy sometimes can affect the vocal cords because of the proximity.

tonsils are not at all responsible for voice,voice are coming from vocal cord, so you can sing, tonsillectomy(removal of tonsil-surgically)will not affect voice

Yes...if you could sing prior to having your tonsils taken out, then you will be able to sing afterwards as well....just kidding with ya......had to put my two cents worth in......
