eBay Fraud Alert!!!

You are correct - eBay is doing nothing. In the past 10 days I have had 9 fraudlent attempts on my account. I am going to my local police station with all the information along with copies of the fradulent auctions (which were done under my name). I have changed my eBay passwords so many times I cannot remember. It is time for eBay members to ban together and do something. As for me, when I am finished writing you I am also going to contact the BBB and any other agency that will get involved. You should also consider getting an attorney since you lost money. I am sorry to say this, but I actually feel sick when I think of how they are just sitting on their bums sending automated responses to us.

You have another question posted and I gave you the links to use there. You have not given me enough specifics to be able to tell you what to do. And someone suggested the answer center at eBay. I work in there on a regular basis and understand your frustration.

To find the Answer Center

Community>Answer Center

From there go to the Trust and Safety board

There are a few things you have to remember before going there. You're not allowed to name a member that has been suspended. You are not allowed to report violations on that board specifically. You are not allowed to use profanity in any way. It is *highly* recommended to not give your e-mail address anywhere in the message. Scammers find them everywhere. What you *are* allowed to do:
Give an action number.
State that you went to PayPal and they denied your dispute/claim.
Vent your frustrations over the canned responses from eBay. But keep it simple, short, and not hostile. Use any profanity at all (even trying to get around it with * or # will get you reported sometimes).

The Answer Center is a Member-to-Member board. There are no eBay employees there. These people will not be able to look into your account for you. But they're very resourceful. Trust me.

Remember
Community>Answer Center>Trust&Safety
members only - not staff
they/we are all volunteers over there

Every email you send to ebay sends an automated response.

You can get your sellers details - and if they are false, then report as such - thats usually a pretty quick way to get them NARU'd.

The Community Question and Answer Board has some incredibly well informed people - they will be able to help you with what else to do. Good luck - tis horrid being ripped off like this.

Try http://www.onlineauctionexchange.com they are really strict about what get posted on there site, and with no listing fees or end of auction fees you have nothing to loose. I once made a mistake on an auction I posted and within 30min of posting the auction they called me and pointed out the mistake and wanted to make sure I wasn't involved in any type of fraud. I though this was great and made me feel really comfortable using the site. I don't use ebay at all any more.

This is why I do not Ebay... I ran into trouble once with a seller not sending me the goods and I was out.

I felt Ebay did not care since they already had their money.

thousands and thousands of those 'phishing' scams are tried each hour of daily. To be honest, till you have actual fallen for it (and lost money) no crime has been committed and the government do exactly no longer want to comprehend ..(whether you have lost money, they're in simple terms approximately powerless besides) ... I recommend you verify out how man or woman electorate are taking action against the scammers, yet observe that, interior the united kingdom a minimum of, it would desire to be YOU that finally ends up being accused of the rip-off !
