y = - 1/2 x - 3 is the equation of a straight line with slope - 1/2 and an intercept of - 3. It is already in the standard form.

How to write it, x(?), in y form.
y = -1/2x - 3
y + 3 = -1/2x
(y + 3) / -1/2 = x
(y + 3) * -2 = x
-2y -6 = x

I think that's it unless of course if you mean it as y in such case it's already in the form your problem presents.
