At the Diana performance last night, I just couldn't understand it, I've never been a big fan of the office (i found it cringeworthy) extras had its moments.

His performance last night just seemed awkward and I didn't laugh once.

Carvinal queen, PROFESSIONAL comedians could've done better.

Could you see Lee Evans, Brian Connelly, Jim Davidson or anyother well established comedian struggling there? NO

Personally I do not find him funny at all. His reputation as a comic is like the Emperor's New Clothes - noone has the bottle to say he is neither amusing nor clever.
As for last night, it proved his inability to improvise and to entertain.-

I think that he is a different kind of humour to a lot of other comedians. He focuses on things that are funny because they usually involve a character entering a very uncomfortable situation through a fault in their character and the absurdity of their excuses of perceptions of their role in the situation.

If everybody found the same thing funny then it would be a very bald world in which we live.

Some of my friends enjoys the racist "jokes" of such bigots as Jim Davidson and Bernard Manning (RIP) while I just can't see the humour in mocking the Irish or black people.

I myself like absurd farcical comedies like Monty Python, or surreal situations like those in the stand up of Eddie Izzard.

I don't find Ricky Gervais in the least bit funny. I liked the idea of the office comedy series when it was first advertised, but when I tried to watch it I switched it off after about 5 minutes. I've never been able to watch him in anything else either. I also cannot understand what is supposed to be amusing about him.

I cannot stand the geezer. When "The Office" was on the TV, the trailers were enough to put me off from watching. He comes across as a smarmy arrogant tw*t. I thought he was a struggling comedian !

Nope, I don't find him funny. But then I don't find Peter Kay funny either. Maybe as a nation we a are losing our sense of humour and becoming more like the Americans.

Well to be fair he did have one joke and his song wasn't too bad but other than that he didn't have any material. He can be very funny when hes prepared.

I found it sort of amusing watching him flounder and would have prefered it if they made him stay on longer just to see what he would do.

Well I felt sorry for him last night, I believe he only went on to do a couple of minutes then introduce Elton John. He ended up filling in for an indefinite amount of time, what a nightmare for anyone. He didn't cope particularly well but who could have done better?

I think he probably ruined his British status as a funny man, so unprofessional, I hope he apologised to the princes. a mere cat could have done better.
