hi my boyfriend and i have been dating for almost 3 years and he left for bootcamp on the 31st of May. I have been writing everyday and he has been writing back, but I miss him so much. I cry all the time thinking about him. I know he is ok but the longest we have been apart before this is 2 weeks. I am trying to be there to support him, but its really hard when i dont really have anyone to talk to. He is my best friend and was the person I came to for practically everything. Is there anything I can do to help? Is there anyone I can talk to? I heard about some support groups, does anyone know the names or sites? Please help.

Hi there i just stumbled across this and i wanted to let you know that you arent alone my boyfriend of 2 and a half years left for BCT in february graduated in may and is now at AIT until sept. this has been one of the hardest most emotional things i have ever had to deal with and i will tell you honestly it will get worse before it gets better and it will never ever be Easy i still cry all the time and there are days i wake up and feel like i just cant do it any more but if you truely love him dont ever give up all i can tell you is keep writing him and be sure to always tell him how your feeling comunicate as much as possible this is a great time for that and remember he is going through this ALL alone in a new place away from his friends, family, and his "comfort zone" so you have to try and be strong for the both of you. just keep your chin up and stay strong if you ever want to talk im here. ill do what i can to help HOOAH!!

My wife was a service wife for many years. It is by far the hardest job in the world. If you love him and miss him tell him so, if you are near his basic training area or a military base of any kind their are family support group meetings where you can go for support. Just don't tell him how hard it is for you because it is hard for him as well. If you survive this your relationship will be stronger than ever.

hi. iam german and i live in germany. my boyfriend is american and he is in iraq for 15 month. we have been together for almost 5 years. he went there the second time. i know how you are feeling because he is still there for maybe 4 month. its hard i know but its also hard for your boyfriend. when he went ther the first time i felt so loneley for the first 3 or 4 month even i had my friends and family. but it got better. time will go by fast if you are doing something with your friends or family. dont sit at home and wait all the time. my relationsship got stronger after my boyfriend got home the first time. i hope you will be ok and your boyfriend will be back soon.

You are too weak for this man. You cannot be an army wife if you cannot do what you are supposed to do and take care of the homefront while he's gone because you're too busy having a pity party. Get a spine and straighten up because you're in the army now too. Or break up with him so he can find a real girlfriend who will take care of things while he's gone.
