Okay, some of your answers made sense, some were hilarious but anyways. Yeah, to really get anywhere in the movie biz, you need to pretty much be in Hollywood area. You can do it else where NYC and such, but Minnesota is not known for putting out any huge movies. And let me just say, it's not a pathetic question, it's the American dream to get into movies. Are you looking to be an extra or you want an actual part w/ lines? Let me know, I'm casting for a new movie - 50 characters to cast. So, let me know if interested and I hope this helps out. Have a good day!

I suggest you save up your money & move to Hollywood when you can - MN is not the mecca of places for auditioning. Maybe if by CHANCE they were shooting a movie there you could get in as an extra...but that's a pretty small chance.

If you find an agency to sign with you could probably try getting into local commercials - that's it, it would give you a little experience for the Hollywood auditioning process though. DO NOT PAY the agency anything. You just need a portfolio.

Also, not sure if you have an accent, but practice getting a flat generic American accent for auditions.

So work, save & move. You don't want to be desperate for cash & wind up stripping or something to make ends meet. When you get there get a waiting job like all the other would-be actors & try your hardest to get in.

Good luck...and patience!

Minnesota is not the best way to go when it comes to TV or Movie auditions. I would suggest that you get an agent to find auditions for you. Most of the auditions are going to be in California. But if you don't have the money to go to California, I would look for local public theatres near you that hold auditions. That way you can get stage practice as well as camera time. I hoped this helped!

You should ask your acting teacher and your actor friends.

Maybe you should go watch HAIRSPRAY?
