i have a ppo with my work; are my parents covered under my health insurance?

No!! It's usually the other way around. Your parents can cover you under their health insurance if you are still considered a dependent. Your own health insurance would just cover your spouse and family as provided. If the company you worked for provides it as a free health benefit; consider yourself lucky.


Nowadays, most companies require of their employees to pay for their own insurance premiums even though it's offered to the company on a special group rate package or policy.

You can pay for your parents on a separate private health insurance not work- related . But it's costly If they are aged, they're better off relying on Medicare or Medical. .

No unless they are your dependents & listed on the policy.

Typically a plan covers CHILDREN until they are 23-24 as long as they are enrolled in school.

This has a very simple answer - no. You should have reviewed the information when you signed up for your plan.

nope....it's just for you and a spouce unless they are very old or maybe disabled--- call and ask tomorrow...
