I was angry at him cuz I feel like I did more chores than he did. So I copped an attitude. Then he threw his clothes in the garbage. That was a couple hours ago. I just now dug them out and am trying to decide if I should wash em or not.

Throw them back in the garbage...what do you care if he has no clothes..you are not his mother nor are you his wife!
If he wants you to do his laundry, tell him you want a wedding ring and a date!...
Tell him to take whatever he has left and move his butt outta there, or you'll be throwing the rest in the garbage, too!
Don't let him play this game with you....if you even do the laundry or even keep those clothes out of the trash, he will have won this battle and he will lose all respect for you.....
Go, go put them back and stand your ground...GOD BLESS YOU and May this male person show you the respect you were born to receive....Woman should be set on a pedestal, not the man! he should do your laundry and no sex until he commits to marry you first!!

Consider who brings home more $ and the amount of time used in each of your chores. If you are washing the dishes and doing laundry. And he is vaccuming the house and cutting the grass you might want to consider the amount of strain per each chore. But since he tossed his clothes in the garbage id put them in a bag and leave him a note saying "Love you". If hes ganna throw a tantrum at every little thing he needs to grow up =)

Its time to compromise. Tell him how you feel about doing ALL the chores.

I know what you mean, I still feel that way but when I do I let him know before it becomes a huge argument. Now he at least helps when I ask and even offers. We split the tasks for laundry also - I clean and he dries. That way we feel like equals than one person doing everything.

If you are washing your clothes then it's better for the environment to stick his in with yours, why cause more damage to the planet just to prove a point? Seriously, if you are washing then do all of it, it's not like you actually have to scrub each piece of clothing, all you have to do it stick it in the machine, and that does the hard work for you.

been in your shoes before except my man did not throw his clothes in the trash.

whatever you do resist the urge to wash his clothes for him.

i used to wash my guy's and my clothes without much help from him. in addition to that, he barely did any chores around the house. after awhile i got irritated too and told him to wash his own clothes. at first he gave me a guilt trip or two, saying i don't love him as much as before when i washed his clothes.

I stuck to my gun and now he does his own wash. also he and I have better communication now and he is more willing to help out around the house.

No dude dont do his laundry after he threw them in the garbage can. Let them sit there and let him dig them out of the dirty trash.. they are his clothes and he is a grown man. he is quite capable...

While I can admit that both behaviors were wrong, I would have left his laundry in the trash. When he cools off, he can dig them out and do his own laundry, or he can ask you to do it for him. Do not take the initiative to do it yourself, because you will only condone his behavior, and he'll keep doing it.

do the laundry, it means you care about how he looks. discuss with him and delegate chores. you wash, he takes out the garbage and fixes the plumbing or whatever. it's a compromise. clearly communication is the key. good luck to you.

You're a woman, get used to doing more chores. It's just the way it is. Women have cleaning tendencies, most straight men don't. Men hunt and gather, women make homes. It's been like that since the beginning of time and probably won't change for a long time to come.

LOL I'm sorry i know this isn't funny, but he threw his clothes in the trash??? I would have left them there, he is acting like a kiddo...I wouldn't wash them for him, let him get off his bum and do them himself....
