Sure. I'm friends (but not close) with a few of my exes. I'd recommend not going for friendship right away though. I think it's easier on everyone if you don't see eachother, or even talk to eachother for about a month, then slowly ease into a friendship. I find that that way both parties have time to get over things, adjust to the new situation, and allow old relationship habits to die off.

Sometimes, if there really is a friendship there and you can separate your feelings.. but it is usually good to take it realllly slow in the beginning. I have tried to stay friends with some, but there really wasn't anything there so I gave up. One or two have actually turned out to be really good friends.

its depends...if both of u can accept (just friend only).i also remain friends with my ex and i have a new boyfriend now. but he still love me and still trying to get back my attention.
in this case what i did is keep a bounder between us.still friends but better don't to close and care.

I'm best friends (no benefits) with the guy I was with for 10 years. Of course, we had a great relationship when we were together. We simply changed and grew apart.
