i always had a hard time starting my scooter bcoz my sparkplug always get carbonized by burnt fuel, so everytime i stop and turn off the engine, i need to clean the sparkplug. is there something wrong with my air filter or there`s another reason? any comments? thanks..

Have the shop check it out. You could be running a little too rich (on fuel). Or you can try NGK Platinum plugs as they are better in "self-cleaning."

simply said it runs too fat (too much petrol - too little air)
Air filter is a possibility or the carburator needs a little adjustment. Also check if the spark plug is the same as specified in the users manual.
BTW scooters are popular around the world - not only in India. The ones in India are mostly Lambretta/Vespa license built so they came originally from Italy.

Are you in India? We use lots of scooters here, and don't know any other country using scooters!!!

Any way, I guess clean the fliter, or get a new one. Change the place where you fill the petrol. And get it serviced once in a while.

HOW OLD IS IT IF IT IS A 4 STROKE DOES IT SMOKE IF SO THE OIL RINGS ARE BAD JUST REBIULD IT SHOULD STOP PROBLEM IF ITS A 2 STROKE DOES IT SMOKE OR SMOKE MORE THAN USUAL OIL INJECTOR CAN BE BAD INJECTING TO MUCH OIL ,OR BAD COMPRESSION,BAD OR WEAK IGNITION.IS CLOGGED AIR FILTER? CAN BE A LOT OF THINGS,WHAT BRAND OF PLUG YOU USING ,USE THE FACTORY RECOMMENDED PLUG ONLY NO ELCHEAP OS
