How do you feel about receiving gifts?

I get embarrassed. I'd rather give than receive.

i get this akward feeling.especially if im opening it in front of the giver.all these thoughts run thru my head, like how should i act and react?thank-u i love it,but secretly think it sucks.or wow u really shouldnt have and cant find a way to truly express your gratitude.i hate it!i love giving gifts too, but sometimes i dont like for the person to open it in front of me, for the same reasons..dont want to make them feel akward..

Depends on the gift and where/how it was given (like in front of people or something really expense) whether or not I get embarrassed.
I like receiving gifts and I always feel happy/good when I do...but I do find more joy when I get to give, though sometimes I tend to get really nervous because I'm afraid they won't like it.

The same way as you. I never feel comfortable receiving. I get more joy out of giving the gifts.

ditto, I really don't like to get gifts, and esp on holidays, if someone feels the need to give me a gift, I would rather it be on any given day of the week than on a holiday when they might feel obligated to do so... most anyone whom knows me knows not to give a gift.... and no I'm not a Jehovah Witness , just how I am....

I just love the sparkly ones that come in that little blue box from Tiffany's..........just kidding I also feel better as a giver especially when I've given a gift to a child.
