I am 21 years old and I feel old already! I have a younger sister who is 15 and I really miss being that age. Its like I could just feel the years going going by fast now. Before you know it I'll be 30! Has anyone felt like this before? What do you do to feel young and just enjoy life?

Why do you think you have to be young to enjoy life?

I'm in my 30s and I can tell you I wouldn't trade it to go back. I'm financially secure, I have a job I like, I manage to take classes when I feel like it, not because I'm working towards a degree, but because I just want to. I can take a vacation every year and weekend excursions as I wish, my husband and I are well past the bs childish stuff that comes in the first 5 years of a relationship (we've been married almost 10 years now), we're comfortable, happy and able to talk about anything we want with each other. My friends are real friends, they're not out to use me, or to have someone to party with, there's no daily drama to get everyone in a uproar, and we can all just enjoy being together and having fun.

I can go where I want, when I want and do what I want.

Why would I trade that for teenage hormones and highschool bs?

Oh, Sandra...are you telling me that you think your best years are behind you? I can promise you that if you keep looking at things like that you WON'T be enjoying your life the way you should You are 21. 21. You have so much ahead of you to learn and enjoy, give yourself a chance. Yes, time does go by faster than you think...don't let your time be spent looking back over your shoulder or you'll miss what you've got today. Go ahead, have some fun and quit looking at the speedometer.

And then there is 40... and then there is 50 staring you in the face.

I know a man who is 102. And he is full of life, enjoys a good cigar every so often, and has a million stories to tell!

Age is just a number.... I found a cute saying that I love...

"It is mandantory to grow old.. it is optional to grow up."

the years will go by whether or not you are counting them. So make them count. Fill each day with a memory... and enjoy life!!

just don't think about it really and just enjoy life.. i'm 24 and trust me, i wish i could be 21 again!! When I look at it though, i'm a lot mature and wiser now than before so you can kind of look at it like that...remember how immature you were when you were 15?

set goals and take your life to different levels...as you progress you have a sense of accomplishment for the time you have put into them...the more accomplished the more you may feel that you have done alot with such a short amount of time, it makes one feel younger for having experienced so much..at 21 your just at the beginning.

if you feel old, then you must have accomplished a lot in life--house, marriage, kids, money, expensive car, business, relationships, divorce, job layoff, failure, helping the community, making a significant difference in peoples' lives. if you haven't don't that, then you're still young.
