If you were to be doing any of these jobs, u'll know how it feels to be standing (no sitting at all) stationary for hours together till the duration of the match, match after match, not being compassionate about the proceedings(the match proper) out there in the middle.

Having been a referee and a ballboy I can tell you that it takes much concentration to do both jobs. Expression of being mad is really that of concentration.

well..for the linemen, they have to stay focus on the ball especially when it reaches the surface near the line. they have to be accurate on their call so they will be trusted and reliable to their calls. Once they shout the wrong call, they loses their credibility as a line judge. espcially today, that there is "hawkeye". once their call is challenge by the player, and the hawkeye shows that its IN when he shouted out. its not good for him. so when you see a linejudge not smiling. he is just paying attention to the game specially to the ball. and so with the ballboys...

They are very stressed because if they make a mistake they could get criticized by any of the players. They never want that to happen. They do not want anything to be wrong.
