When my boyfriend was in college, he was in line to buy books. Three footballers were making fun of a physically/mentally challenged kid and saying "what are you doing here?" etc etc.
My boyfriend was the only person to say to them "hey, we're not in kindergarten anymore so back off."
Nobody else in line even said a word, why not? Why are they such a**holes?

When those a**holes make fun out of others,it make them feel good about themselves.These people have really low self-esteem,that the only way they have to prove they are better than those disable,but the fact they are far worse.We should really pity them,I mean those a**holes,they serve no purpose in this world.But hey,without them,we would never know that a*ssholes come in form more than one

dont generalize. it could be that the crowd he's in is a passive crowd - those who really dont care, or maybe just given up their hopes because of the tremendous problems out there. but not all have this thinking. there might be some but what about the other half?!

some people are so shallow and superficial that they are incapable of feeling kindness. when they put other people down they feel better about themselves too. even though there is so many mean people I still believe there is more kind people in the world. i don't know if i am right but life has showed me that.

Uugh, that's an upsetting story. It does seem like people are colder these days. I don't know why. It gets me down sometimes. I guess people are just scared or too self-absorbed to get involved. It sucks for those of us who are not like that.
