I suppose it depends on their interpretation of your intent.

It's all in the eye of the beholder, but...
I don't think that someone walking down main street naked is making a particularly artistic statement, and I don't think that anyone observing it with no further context would label it as art.
There's plenty of people who wouldn't have a problem with it or see anything wrong with it (myself for example), but there's no reason they'd see it as art.
But, as I said, it's all in the eye of the beholder. Some people might see art. Other people (and unfortunately, the legal system) would see obscenity. Still other people would see neither.

Obscenity. I went to school for Graphic Design and had to go to many art exhibits and some of the stuff they call art to me was porn. Photography of a man doing things to himself etc. Uck. So just being in the buff would be nothing in an art gallery...but on the street? I guess in an art gallery they can get away with anything, but on the street you'd most likely get arrested for indecent exposure.

Certain parts of Europe they would see it as art. In America would we would more than likely see it as an obscenity.
Differences in perspective. One culture sees the naked human body as a beautiful piece of art. The other sees nakedness as something that should be contained within closed doors, between partners that are intimate.
Maybe the Euros are a little less insecure when it comes to the naked body?
My opinion is it would depend on the chick. Thick with curves...Art... Round and flabby...Obscentiy.
I'm biased in this sense b/c I ain't trying to see no naked dude. But then again I may be an insecure American. Regardless I still ain't trying to see it... LMAO

People would see you as a naked fool, and will for sure call the police, for even if we have freedom, there is such a thing as living in a civilized society, walking naked down the street, no matter how pretty you are is against the law, for many reasons which would be too numerous to mention, but go ahead and try it, And let me know what happened.

It depends on whose eye's there looking thru? There is a time and a place for nudity, and I dont think it is walking down Main Street? Maybe your question should be reworded? Nudity is art in a sculpture or painting if thats what you like? Hey but if you feel comfortable walking in the buff you go for it.

It really depends on where you are at. If you are in the south, people would just see you as a nude person. If you were in Chicago, people probably would not even look at you twice, but if you are in New York, you probably would be seen as art. This probably comes because of the different cultures in the different parts of the United States.

I'm young tall and attractive so naturally I consider my body art. But to the larger question of what is art or pornography just imagine the difference between a Spencer Tunick mass nude photograph and a Joe Francis cinematic work. I rest my case.

That all depends on the person, doesn't it?
First of all, nude is not lewd; it is just nude. There is nothing obscene about the human body.
And, there ARE places where you can be nude in public.
Other people who are inhibited and just wound too tight upstairs see "obscenity" in everything sexual.

I really wouldn't see it as either. I would just see a naked person walking down the street. But I do believe that nudity can be art.

Depends on the person. Art is like a Joke, some people get it others don't. There are a lot of jokes that some people think are obsene, but for those of us who understand the context it's hilarious.
