Salary cap is the problem. KG is making 21 million. How on earth do the Bulls, who are over the cap, make a trade and still fill out the roster?
PJ Brown sign & trade 10 mil maybe? (was making $8,560,000, unrestricted free agent, might retire)
Nocioni sign & trade 7 mil maybe? (was making $3,950,000, restricted free agent)
Noah - likely make rookie $2 mil?
there's three pieces the Bulls probably would be willing to get rid of, but how drunk would McHale have to be to trade KG for this sorry combination?
Noah, Brown, Duhon, Nocioni, and Gordon would be $27 mil in salary; w/o Gordon it would be about $22 mil. It might require seeing what other chips might be thrown in to balance salaries etc. since the Bulls still have to fill out a roster after getting KG, and they are over the cap.
And at this point Paxson has decimated his backcourt and no longer has a backup small forward. Yikes! It might make the starting five better (Hinrich, Selofosha, Deng, KG, Wallace), but the bench has completely disappeared. I'm not sure that trading for KG, unless Ben Wallace goes, makes any sense for the Bulls - as Wallace's $16 mil makes a trade viable without too many bodies flying around. Without Wallace, if Brown just retires, forget it. The only other $10+ mil salary is Hinrich, who is not likely to go anywhere. There just aren't enough salary chips to trade for KG.

No way. KG is only gonna give them like 1 or 2 GOOD seasons. Keep the players now and they will develop into All Stars. Bulls might have a chance at the title 2 or 3 years from now. Even sooner, you NEVER know.

5 for one? Would never work. Remember that same things happened to Houston. They traded 5 guys to get Sir Charles. Chucky Brown, Mario Ellie, Sam Cassell were some of those (I forgot the other two). And what did Houston get? An injury plagued Barkley because at the time he was already aging (very much the same with KG). So yeah I won't trade five of my better player to get a player who I am not even sure can compete at a very high level like he did in his earlier years (Haven't we learn that already? Getting Ben Wallace and all?).

No no no. Chicago is good where it is now. Noah isnt Garnett by any means but I honestly think Tyrus Thomas could be something very special.
Besides, Ben Gordon is franchise whether anyone admits it or not, trading franchise for age isnt smart here.

that trade sucks @ss for minnesota. do you realize this isnt a video game and that it would take A LOT to get KG? it would take a trade including deng, gordon, noah, pj brown and that still wont even match KGs salary.
